Big Brother 2003 on official YouTube channel (Live streamed Aug 15-17 + 22-24)

Earlier starting time and over two weekends will surely be the norm now. I wonder what time it will finish? I can’t remember if there were many “special” episodes in this season (I would assume some) and if they can include them now with the two weekends.

I remember Jaime’s snap eviction while he was eating yoghurt or ice cream which I assume had some sort of live special.

Slightly morbid but just like S1 and S2 this season also features a now deceased person with Joanne’s boyfriend Tim, he doesn’t feature as much as Billy did and obviously not as much as Gordon but still a sad component that I’m sure yields mixed feelings for his loved ones.

Jess said she likes the footage of Billy and loves that he was so loved and part of the show (paraphrasing).

I want to watch Season 5. Let's hope they reach it soon on YouTube.

DailyMotion is annoying cos it doesn't have a Samsung app and so I can only watch it via casting (and that's pretty annoying). Also, DM loads and lags a bit.

The season starts off with A LOT of them.

Because they were drip feeding the housemates into the houses, the first week had a daily show and a special each day. The marathon will take about 5-6 hours just to get through to the first nominations episode. About two hours longer than the 2002 marathon.

Other than that, is really just the standard Intruder specials and the live show where Anouska from BBUK goes in.

This will be monumental.

As said previously, if they decide to stop uploading after this (although I reckon we’re at least getting 2004 too) then I’ll be happy. The original 2003 captures have always been the lowest quality of what we had, with the exception of CBB, so to get this season in high quality is very very exciting.

Oh yep all coming back to me now!

They really levelled up this season but it pay off by being so great.

Apparently S4 onwards are already digitised so they might not give them the marathon treatment. Wait and see I guess.
Oh yep this makes sense, I’m sort of fine either way. I am enjoying the marathons but they are time consuming and the earlier the season the more nostalgia, so I can live without any more.

Yeah, rips of BB05 onwards are... fine. BB04 and especially BB03, not so much. 😅

Not to mention BB03 is the last one that needs the widescreen upgrade.

Wasn’t Tamara an actress they hired so Ben wasn’t able to meet any of the other housemates?

There are different theories. There was meant to be another HM who pulled out last moment and so supposedly Tamara was also dropped but the story out publicly was that she was a decoy the entire time, but for what benefit I’m not sure.

Speaking of "stuff that's weird to re-air in 2025"... wasn't there a whole thing about Belinda getting drunk and blabbing about an ongoing court case she was linked to? I was too young to really understand the ins and outs of it, but I vaguely remember they had to show a different edit of certain episodes in certain states? 🤔

Was that at least confined to Uncut, or might there be some ethical weirdness around re-airing that? (Depending on whether they've still got the "alternate" edits, I guess.)

Yes I believe her sister was involved in the murder of a gay man. It wasn’t able to be aired in QLD but from memory it was limited anyway in what they could air. It was happening on up late and the feed was cut in QLD.

I wonder if it will come up at all during this marathon, it’s so long since I watch to remember how it was addressed but I guess with Belinda walking it came up.
