Best Channel 10 Big Brother Season?

I chose BB01 and BB07. My third choice would’ve been BB05, mostly for nostalgic reasons.

BB03 and BB04.
BB03 for obvious reasons.
I remember not liking BB07 at the time but after the rewatch stream I can see production were really trying, despite a whole lot of interference like the stupid Starburst comp, KFC twister shit, plus the awful finale. It gets a vote.
I remember at the time being one of the few who really liked BB08 despite those shitheads Kyle and Jackie O. I will revise my opinion after the next rewatch stream.

BB03 as #1, it had everything, a great group of housemates, the 2 houses twist was very well done, house looked great, the production of the show was probably the best of all BB sessions across all 3 channels.
My second choice wasn't as easy, was a toss-up between BB01 and BB07, I went with BB07 only because I've enjoyed rewatching this session a bit more then BB01, but both had great housemates, BB01 house was little better. BB07 you can see they tried to change the direction of the show after few less than perfect years.

#3 & 4 for me were the peak, both seasons for me were and still are the ones to beat
I went with 3 & 1. S7 was an eternal revolving door of HMs and intruders and had too many twists. And capped off with that shemozzle of a finale. Too much is too much.
Also OT for this thread, but I remember Gretel's outfits being WTF on many occasions at the time, but rewatching the streams now (admittedly dipping in and out a lot) I didn't have that response and thought she looked great.

S Tier
1. 2001 - IMO the best English speaking pilot series with a great cast and great pacing
A Tier
2. 2007 - Criminally underrated with a very strong winner and some of the best weekly tasks
3. 2003 - Great concept with a loud cast, however gets a bit slow in the later weeks but has the best final 3, best winner and best finale episode
B Tier
4. 2006 - The cast was dynamic and there isn't any slow point but very gimmicky and awkward last quarter
5. 2005 - Very bogan and sexually driven cast with some stand out female housemates, the same cannot be said for a lot of the males however
6. 2004 - Notable for its controversies and final few housemates but there isn't really a majorly notable positive moment
C Tier
7. 2008 - A mess but at least its not boring
8. 2002 - Well produced just a very boring cast and dies after the week 8 double
2012 and 2013 would probably go somewhere in B tier, 2014 C tier and every single one of the channel 7 seasons is automatic F tier

Yep 2005 was definitely the toxic male season. And still being more toxic than the turkey slap is saying something.
I do agree the 2005 males were absolutely foul. But I also think the 2007 males were very close to meeting them - at least in terms of alpha pack mentality, being bitchy and misogynistic, particularly in the second half of the season.

My favourites are 2003, 2004 and 2006. I do like a lot of 01 but it does get a little boring later in the series. 05 and 08 are interesting in that the housemates are so unlikeable but they did provide some interesting talking points I guess about australian society at the time.

Really? I thought, besides Bodie, the 2007 males were generally tame, reserved and submissive.
Sara-Marie absolutely made 01, I do wonder how much less entertaining it would have been without her but the show and concept was so new it probably would have rated well either way. My favourites are 03 closely followed by 04. Crazy how unpopular 02 is but it has a special place for me cause it’s the first one I watched. Channel 10 BB was so great though that there isn’t one season of it that’s not entertaining to me.
I agree, they were much less bogan/boofhead/gymbro types than 2005. The casting was definitely an improvement, but probably would have been better if Zach had been an original HM.
