Ben is a Fake!

Isn't funny that the only real talking point people have about Ben is that is he real or not, Says a lot about his contribution to the show. I just hope his hordes of fans realize this before they hand the guy $250,000.

Ben said he moved out of home 10 yrs ago..maybe since he has anxiety and lost his job, him and his mother are closer again?
 
Ben isn't who I want to win, but it is a little harsh to call him fake based on this article.
In the next paragraph it says one of the comedians quit with anxiety, so its not impossible for Ben to do stand up and have issues.
Like I said before, the article is from 2007, a lot can happen.
 
Seriously, who wears the same frames as their mother. He constantly talks about going to Kmart and Target for clothes and shoes.. I admire him for the effort though.. hats off if he pulls it off
 
Just saw this thread. So what if he has done a bit of stand up comedy. He is clearly not a seasoned pro. He definitely has some talent. I sincerely hope Big Brother wins him a wider audience.

If it turns out the his whole thing inside the house was one big act, then good on him, I hope he wins an academy award AND Big Brother.

Do you think Tim isn't acting. Did you really believe him when he "fell for Lucy", and then he "fell for Jade", and now "he is falling for Boog". Tim is making up a story for himself every week. He is acting. Doesn't bother me one bit. So long as it is entertaining.

Yeah and stuff we have heard said by house mates clearly contradicts them knowing he was a stand up comedian.
 
Maybe that's how he was then, but now he's lost all his friends and just started living a hermit life apart from contact with mum and nan.

Poona he has a Facebook account that has all his friends rallied with Tshirts and badges and support all over Australia. Im sorry to say this but I think he hasnt been honest.

I wouldn't mind so much if Ben wasn't getting all the contrived events planned for him to do his performances, special treatment like the B&P visit for more airtime/promotion, & allowed to do his monologues to the audience via his photos

The sincerity to which he plays up this charade of a Adult Baby... That is what is truly disturbing.

Same here thats whats bugged me the most about Ben---- is all the extra support he has got especially the TV add.... grrrrr.
 
The opening post has a link from 2007. Yes Ben has done a couple of stand-up gigs. But where are all the reviews of his shows from the years in-between?
Everybody can see that Ben has talent as a performer. He should be doing acting/standup comedy. He has talent. It looks to me like he dallied with the performing arts a few years ago (as many people do) but it has obviously never taken him anywhere. He is still a regular person. Most comedians I know (and I have known quite a few from amateur to seriously professional) base their comic persona completely around their own eccentricities. That is where the best material comes from.
