I'm not saying all of it is fake, but he makes himself look like an incompetent soul, wearing pjz and talking to his nan and mum's pics all day. Like what the hell mate, your 31! I got scared of him the other week where in the nominations chamber he was looking right at the camera and gave this evil smirk..

It's true that it doesn't mean he is a complete fake, but it proves that not everything about him is real. How far his act goes is anyones guess, but could you honestly trust him after finding this out?

His whole journey on the show is, 'coming out of his shell.' People saying how good it is for him, like he's breaking free of the shackles of his sensative soul. Which is non sense if he's someone who does stand up comedy.

Fundamentally, a big reason for why people support him is based on a deception.]


Doesn't mean he's not nice, doesn't love his mum or anything like that. It just show's he's presenting himself in a false manner. It also has to make us question everything else he says. I do think he's an exaggerated version of himself, but it's to such an extreme.
 
A lot of stand-up comics are pretty tragic themselves, and behind the scenes can be pretty depressed/manic (bi-polar even), so he could still be 90% real.

Besides, in the context of doing Gay & Lesbian stand-up in locations where I'll bet the majority of the audience are also gay or lesbian, could give him the confidence he needs to do it.

Still, by the looks of it, he did more than just one routine, so it wasn't a one-off.

Exactly. The worst thing is he is going to win thanks to his deception. Who would have guessed in 2013 you could just put on an act and get a free ride right to the finale. This show has become a joke.

I've always wondered if he was mostly raised by "nanna" (for whatever reason). I've known a few families like that.

Yes. that caught my eye too! If true, it would sort of belie his supposedly super-close relationship with his mum - perhaps she's just in on it - she kind of seems the pushy mother type who loves the spotlight.

Most of my post was facetious I agree that BB has been conning, or trying to con us with the whole Ben act. The HM's knew Tim and Heidi worked in radio that has even been aired, but nothing about Ben's life outside other than Flight Attendant stuff. His stories he relates are like crafted comic pieces, the call centre person who chatted him up and the flight attendant story. I have often been pissed off with the blatant attempt to sell me the Ben character. Lets vote him out
