Ben Appreciation Thread

I wish people could just accept the winner -- Hell If Estelle had won-- I'd be a bit disappointed but I wouldn't be saying such vile comments about her. I may not have liked her but I have never, ever said anything so degrading and insulting.

T'ch... Y'all just a bunch of sore losers.

Don't mind them.

They are the Estelliban Extremists and Ben is their holy war.

They know no other way.

They actually seek out arguments in thread which are designed for appreciation.

You can't negotiate with someone like that.

It wasn't Estelle losing that led to the vile comments - it was Ben's lack of class in continuing to undermine Estelle till the bitter end.

But hey, I've dealt with it, I'm over it and I'll retreat to sunnier pastures... to the Estelle 'appreacian' thread! Bye Bennites.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the first time ever my favourite has won and it feels so, so, so, so good! I loved Ben from the moment he entered to the moment he left. That proposal was magnificent! It has been a fun season fellow Benjamites. I am a tad sad that next year we will most likely all have different favourites and will no longer be rallying together to save our Benny Boy. All of our voting paid off! Until next time folks, I am out!

Goodness me what a night! I was sure he was going to fall at the last hurdle but he did it he really did it!

Thanks fellow Benjamites for a little while there at the start of the series I was feeling very alone in my Ben love until I found the rest of you. :-) It's been really fun.

Last post to end this season. To be honest I haven't said much on this forum since 2006. I've spent the last 6 years providing web support to my favourite of BB that year - to continue the message of gay acceptance I thought Farmer Dave started.
This year I was curious how far the Australian public had come to accepting that message. I watched the antics of Ben with amusement and sometimes I cringed - here was an almost stereotypical gay - camp and sometimes bitchy - but with a big heart. Somewhere in between the masculine Dave and flambouant Zac. And guess what - warts and all - the public loved it - they made him the winner. It seems Marriage Equality is the last hurdle remaining. Ben's proposal on stage will only bring that into more focus.
So congratulations Ben - well done

Estelle was an example of my most disliked HM 'winning' -- This was not a dig at Estelle Fans but all fans in general.
 
Well done guys. He might not have been my first pick (Stacey should have won, god damn it!), but I was perfectly happy with him winning and helped vote to get him across the line. Good job.
 
I'm still so excited. My favourite never wins!! And he did!!

And not just because I am one of them, but the Benjamites are bloody awesome!!

It's been a pleasure posting with you all and hopefully we can do it all again next year!! :D

I am happy for his fans because I like people to be happy. I didn't like the bitching and manipulating side of Ben, but he made me laugh like no other HMs. I can't forget what he did to Estelle, but I can see the good side of him. He touched me with his mother and BF. I don't dislike him, just some of the things he did.

Wait? What in God's name are you talking about?

I am making an observation based on reading posts on this forum. In my opinion the most Vile came from Estelle fans, it's my opinion and I am entitled to it.

I was neither a Ben or an Estelle fan, but I wanted Estelle to win only last night to see Ben and Laylas reaction, after Ben's win it has actually been more entertaining reading comments from Estelle fans about wishing cancer on the admin, hoping Ben get's beaten up on the streets, finally coming out and releasing their inner homophobe ideals. It was like a hate forum in here last night.

In saying this yes I should have re worded my statement to "some Estelle fans".
 
Wow there is a poll about how satisfied you are with the outcome, horrible outcome has the most votes. There are a lot of upset and angry people.

Why didn't they vote enough?
