BBUK returns Sun 8 Oct 2023 (and Celeb BB back in 2024)

This is going to piss off so many people but in an absolutely necessary way.

Don't really get why people would get pissed off given that there has been others deep into the show's past at this point. It's not like its the first time the show has had someone like that in the house. It's not like the show is suddenly coming back 'woke'.

Although yeah realistically, some people will get pissy for no reason. 100%.

She was already getting it last night as people were speculating on whether she was or not. Saw several comments on Twitter/IG asking if she was “M”. Lots also trying to say the show was going “woke”.

You’re 100% correct that this shouldn’t be an issue but it’s the reality of living in 2023 we’ve progressed so much that we’re regressing.

In other news, the Launch pulled in 2.5 million viewers across ITV1 and ITV2 (number doesn't include ITVX yet). Given how much TV viewing habits have changed in the last ten years since a Launch exceeded that number, ITV would have to be pretty thrilled.

Dunno why Deadline said that the show "failed to premiere with a bang" because it was outrated by Strictly Come Dancing - which realistically no one would have ever expected to happen anyway.

Not to mention the demographics. BB is targeting a much younger demo than would be watching Strictly and those in BB’s demographic generally aren’t watching via traditional broadcast TV.

…if it does return… can anyone let us in Australia know if we can watch it with some sort of link please?… preferably free to air if possible… cheers.
sent you a link, it's how I watch everything & best of all it's stripped of commercials 40 minutes for an hour show, 1 20 for 2 hours, one can watch so miuch more telly w/o ads lol

Yeah, I got an email a few hours ago saying that they had made a copyright claim on it. Was meant to have only been blocked within the UK according to the email, but seems it’s been blocked further than that as I can't even watch it in NZ.
If they’re so concerned about unlicensed streaming why aren’t they giving us a legal means to watch.

I just watched the eipsode then. It was really well produced. I love that there is such a diversity in the house. The house is great, really shows when something is well planned and executed. Although I know its a 6 week series and likely this layout will be the base for future series, I am not mad about it.
Launch stage looked awesome at night all lit up. Really like some of the housemates so far too, Jenkin is doing my head in though.
Hosts are great, I like the idea of a duo hosting to bounce off each other and they are young, fresh and have a good energy. Will is pretty damn nice to look at too..... ;)

Some have commented on the music being annyoing, to be honest when you compare that to what 7 have done with the production music throughout, I think UK had that executed well. Odd to hear mainstream music though, I know BBAU always avoided it.

Overall I am impressed and will continue to watch!
no singing on BBusa because of copyright charges

I finished watching the launch episode. I really enjoyed it. Yes I know the party games were a bit gimmicky, but it didn’t worry me. We’re not going to get a 2000 version of the show, it was just a little bit of fun.

I enjoyed AJ and Will, they have positive energy and both clearly like the show and acknowledge its past. The nod to Davina’s “fancy another one?” was great. They seem to appear as individuals rather than a dynamic pair at the moment, but I’ll give them a while to let them ease into it. I’m sure they’ll eventually be amazing together. Will is so delicious.

The housemates are great on paper, very diverse. They very much are from varying walks of life. I’m impressed.

I’m not that much against Olivia’s mission, it’s harmless in all honesty. With public voting deciding who goes I don’t honestly mind what happens in between, whoever is meant to win will win at the end of it anyway. I did actually enjoy seeing Olivia’s overreaction to it.

I’m super excited for this to continue, I’m getting the same feeling I got back in 2012 when BBAU returned. Adding this with BBUS, I’m so happy to have all this BB.

And oh yeah… BBAU is back too soon. I hope channel 7 take a look at what their version could have been like. I wish this series nothing but success so the Australian version just looks even more like an embarrassment.

First highlights just finished and I really enjoyed them - feels like the show is really back after 13 years. Marcus has toned it down quite a bit - on C5 I'd give it a chance once a year or so but could barely managed 5 minutes of it.

Marcus is being as I always want him to me - a narrator. It’s nice to have a neutral, stripped back narration style from him again.

I don’t like everything that’s going on, but a lot is forgiven because the casting is so good. I know it’s early days but the house as a collective really are making a great impression on me.
