Episode BBAU2023 - Episode 20 Discussion (Finale)

I wonder if they'll bring back the cheering crowd audio that they played during the pre-recorded VIP finale - which sounded ridiculous because they didn't use audio of a relatively small crowd, so we heard cheers much louder than what they could've actually fit into the backyard with a real audience.

As much as I would absolutly love for TEN to revive the show one day in the future, the only worry I have of that posibility being shut down is Australian Survivor. After thinking about it I am of the opinion that if TEN is truly worried about their 7:30 schedule having too many gaps, then the logical approach to them would probably be to commision a second season of Australian Survivor in Q3.

I love how producers just can't be bothered with knowing what the sisters names are too.

Quite surprised they didn't find a way for the HMs to have to be in their swimwear or underwear for the final too. Heck a finale pool party might have been more interesting than a chat with Sonia.
Yes! And they could have squirted them with crap one last time because that's always funny.

Two long running seasons of a show a year is lazy programming and would probably cause audience erosion.

“The Bachelors” is failing at the moment. I’m quite surprised 10 renewed it after the previous season. Shows don’t stay on top forever. Sooner or later they have to take on new reality franchises or revive old ones for their schedule. “Gladiators” is coming back next year for pete’s sake, lol. Maybe the right time will come for 10 and Big Brother to come back together.

7 will have first option what to do with Big Brother in 2024 and it’s likely they will rest it. 2025 it could be up for grabs but who knows what the rights situation could be? Remember that 9 held onto the rights until the very last minute they could before having to go forward with a new season or let 7 get the rights. That was 2015 to 2019. 7 might be spiteful and make it difficult for someone else to pick it up. We don’t know yet. Hopefully if another network decides to go ahead with a revival that 7 will have to let it go too.

It’s a bit disappointing that it was obviously filmed a year ago. Would be kind of interesting to hear their takes a year on, and based on what was aired.
However…. I guess they could talk about whatever and then the producers could make sure that whatever they mentioned was shown in the finale since they’ve had so long to edit it together.

Given they have fulfilled their contractual commitment with this season, In wonder how long they had first dibs rights for. Maybe it was just this year? We can only hope.

*Quick fridge run"
No work for 5 weeks with pending eye op. So I can go for it!

Even though it’s been such a short series. And she only lasted … was it 2 … episodes. I have ZERO memory of anything Quan did or said. I only remember AnnaSophia because they showed a bit of her and Lewis’s relationship in last nights Uncut.

I can still vividly remember conversations and things that Andy (S1) did.

I don’t want BB love Island back… but I truly will kind of miss BB survivor. There was plenty I still enjoyed with the original comeback format.

It's probably Survivor and (more likely) I'm a Celeb beginning to falter that needs to happen to pave the path for the return of Big Brother. Indeed if I'm a Celeb struggles without the doctor with The Traitors and presumably The Bachelors also gone you already have a 10+ week clearing needing to be filled.

I don't think they'd risk Big Brother against MAFS so Survivor would likely remain there anyway, with BB probably launched off the back of the end of Masterchef to air in Q3.

Did Ten commission anything to replace The Traitors?

I still can not tell Luke and Zach apart. Who was the one who evicted the chick who turned him down? Lol
