No. It was mentioned weeks, if not a over a month, ago by the social team. It was in response to a question about why they were using the 2003 theme for the “Starting Soon” pre marathon music at the time.

I doubt many of the Australian contestants smoke anyway. Its much less common in Australia than it is in the UK.
 
Has anyone been on the Tail Spin and knows how much of the garden you can actually see? Initially I thought you'd get a good view of the garden, but now I wonder if most of the view is indeed blocked because I think the walls are next to the part of the ride where you sort of take off.

Looks like its moving around too much to even tell what you're looking at..

It's actually up to you if you move around or not. Some people opt not to use the wings or don't know how to move them, it's basically like a carousel that's going up and down. Only when you move one of the wings up and the other down, you swing a bit... and if you turn them at the right time, you eventually gain so much momentum that you can just hold the wings straight and rotate continuously

Lots of people fail to do any inversions or (like me) might manage to do a few at best. But some are really good at it and rotate continuously. My brother is very good at this ride and would be able to explain it much better how to stay in that state of continuous rollovers. He's done more than 40 inversions on these things before (but not at Dreamworld).

And I'd agree that you won't see much if you reach for that state. But I do wonder if you could see something if you don't move around (which I doubt, because the garden walls will probably block the view) or time your wing movement to tilt left and get a view once you're higher than the garden walls (which I can't visualise right now).

Alright @the Theorist on second look with fresh eyes the difference can be explained by lighting. This was filmed during the day and the sunlight bouncing of the scrim they have set up just outside the door explains explain’s why everything looks so washed out. The doors closed in the second which is the difference.
