as stated by the BB page, its a "pilot" season for 6 weeks, this season is just a test run, next year it would be a full length 12 week + season on another set which would be much bigger with a backyard im speculating.
I havnt seen this. Where was that posted? Also are the housemates in lockdown already. I don’t remember anyone getting a sneak peak at the house in previous seasons. I could be wrong

In the Nine seasons, they used to post really cryptic images of parts of the completed house on their website. I think the last time they released official house-building footage was the Season 1 "Casting Special", which aired just before launch. (They showed a time-lapse of merging the Season 3 houses, though if I recall)

10 era used to do the same on the BB website of images of textures and shapes in the lead-up

Not entirely, if I recall correctly. The BB Revealed special aired on April 11 2001, but the show didn’t broadcast until April 24. Despite the HMs entering on April 23, I don’t think they were in lockdown for over two weeks? Unless I’m mistaken.

And as @matts bb said, we used to get snippets of the build and close-up hints of the new design/furniture pre HM lockdown in both Ten and Nine eras. I even vividly recall photos of the 2005 (or 2004?) house being built from the ground up, after they demolished quite a significant chunk from previous years.

Thanks for the clarification. However, according to the episode in Big Kev's collection, titled the Casting Special, at approximately 7 minutes in, they do show some machines clearing the site. Admittedly, there's no actual house in any footage, but they do zoom in on a drawing of the backyard. Although studying it, it appears that the layout changed for the final product.

Edit: Here's a screencap from the episode, it looks like the gazebo is missing most notably.

Yeah I have the photo somewhere where they gutted the backyard and put weird camouflage over the yard so “media” couldn’t take photos.
I’ll try and find it

Advertising is key. ITV didn't put much effort in at all.

These adverts were big during BBs peak. I remember the anticipation.
This style of advert really overstayed its welcome. Especially in the era where the eye looked much better in the teasers than it did in the actual titles ie. 2007/2008/2009. It really started to feel like they weren’t putting in any effort.
