BBAU 2025: Casting open, return to Dreamworld Confirmed

As I said on the other thread, not having 2012-2014 seems incredible as it was far more recent and already digital. Since those seasons were put up elsewhere, at least until they were taken down, we know there are those with copies which BBAU can reach out to.

I take it that it is only speculation that this new series will be a shorter run. I can't see why they would make all this effort and then not do it properly. It's not supposed to be a race.

Another thing I am wondering. Will the BB crew be friendly with unofficial sites such as this one and even promote them like I think they did at first or will they still be hostile?

Also, has an official site and forum been put up yet?

What? …those seasons were produced by Nine. It’s a completely different situation.

We still haven’t had it confirmed it’s a 4 week run, let’s at least try and stay positive before we know for sure.

I still have some hope it is longer than 4 weeks. Looking at Amazing Race’s run last year it is more or less the same - 9th of September to 20th of October. This year’s series starts on the 8/9/25.

I am wondering if they’re launching in last week of October and running it to the second week of December which would bring the run to roughly 6-7 weeks.

This is the remainder of the ratings year

Amazing Race runs from week 37 to week 43, The Block will also conclude sometime mid September. The Voice should conclude week 44. It could be possible for AR to lead into BB starting on Monday Week 44 (Gretel being featured heavily in advertising for the series makes me think this is a strategy to get older eyeballs on the new revival) and BB could run until Monday of week 51 bringing the series run to 6 weeks and 2 days.

It also means BB doesn’t have any serious competitors running at the same time, it would be difficult to launch against the end of the block and the voice, both formats finishing beforehand allows more eyeballs to funnel over to 10. Edit: 9’s next format is The Golden Bachelor and 7’s is MKR, nowhere near as competitive as The Block vs The Voice and MKR’s audience can be hit or miss at times, not overly loyal to the format.

10 have invested outside the ratings year before and have claimed they program to 52 weeks a year, it could be a possibility.

Honestly don’t mind a pre-recorded launch, it would probably take a lot of stress away from the production team, keep the show running on time, and lead to better curated content from the night rather than cross fading between cameras until something happens.

Oh yeah, much less painful for viewers too because they're less bloated waiting for things that may or may not happen on time.

Even watching the 2004 launch, after they let them all into the house the content was non-sensical, it was just cuts to different housemates saying one or two words without any prior context

At least the on-stage intros were a lot snappier and less bloated than previous seasons.

I think the two main benefits are that they can show stuff from later that night (e.g. when Gretel is in the control room) and the first daily show doesn't start with recapping the launch show, but new content.

TEN is airing Celeb Amazing Race for three nights in it's premiere week. With a suspected legnth of 12 episodes this could mean TAR is over within the month, is the gap between it and BB really going to be this long?

Everything has suggested a November start even though getting on air in October and being able to run around 8 weeks would be very beneficial but sadly don't see it happening. Not sure what 10 have to plug the gap but feels like they've wasted Survivor burning it off in just 3 weeks and it would actually have benefitted from airing one less episode a week.
