BBAU 2025: Casting open, return to Dreamworld Confirmed

BB is going all out with their socials which is great to see. It's crazy that social media wasn't as prevalent back when 10 last had it, so I'm keen to see how they keep us engaged over the next few months.

I wonder if they'll do a celebrity version 🤔
I could see it happening if Celeb Amazing Race doesn’t rate. Only thing is it would either need to air in Q2 and survivor would need to stay in Q3. Otherwise it wouldn’t make sense for Celeb BB to lead into Civilian BB, I’d rather they utilise those weeks for the normal version.

10 won’t have any issues with sponsors, They already have great sponsorships with their other flagship shows.
The rest of their shows are irrelevant. No one is going to be splashing out large sums of cash to be a major sponsor for this show for no reason because of how low things were too recently on Seven. They'll all be quite conservative with what they're willing to front up when it could go either way as to whether the sponsorship has a meaningful return to them or not.

If they get a major brand, then they likely won't have given much at all.

Doubt it. The celebrity factor couldn't even save the Big Brother VIP ratings disaster a few years ago. It even got pulled from broadcast in both New Zealand and the UK and got relegated to online-only release.

Mod: FYI I have edited a couple posts to include URLs or quotes of posts instead of screenshot attachments for a better reading experience. Whether it be a news article, forum post or something else if you could please include a link to it that would be super helpful. Thanks! ☺️

Sponsorship next year may be easier if this year turns out well, but this year will could be difficult unless it is a brand trying to rebuild their reputation too and willing to take a big risk. (edit to ftfy/m)

Those long corridors... *shudder* 🤢
The seven houses were foul. I hated the long corridors and the whole “my brain is in the walls” vibe.

The only thing I liked out of the Seven era houses was the angled two way mirror camera runs and utilising a bare patent to reflect on the wall.

I also think the return of the hot head cameras in the house will significantly reduce the need for camera operators.

Alternatively the only other feesable areas they would work would be far bottom right with these warehouses to be converted?
Seems there is construction happening to the left of these?

Not sure if it has been mentioned already, but sometime between November 2021 and April 2025 Dreamworld has put up a new solid fence, to replace an old chain link fence. Someone over on Parkz.com.au says they drove past this area only recently and noticed this new fence. So perhaps it was changed more toward the 2025 end of this possible 2021-2025 time period. Here's a before and after courtesy of Google street view (August 2020 image used to better show the difference).

Could this all be to keep peeping eyes out? 🤔

This is so freaking exciting!!! The nostalgia and hype is huuuuge! Just recreate the original house design at this rate because my head is already exploding! The only critique is the flashes of the 7 era purple branding 🤢 but can let it slide!!

Damn I didn’t mind the seven houses haha, they visually were appealing in my opinion. Functionally a pain but on tv they looked pretty good. Obviously not anywhere near the original house but they worked for the budget
