Obviously you're without the factor that there is no accompanying live stream and the collective buzz around series has long gone but a few series into the C5 versions how are you finding them overal in comparison to the C4 series. Is the dip in quality as noticeable watching back to back as it was in real time?
I thought they've been alright so far actually, from some general vague consensuses from soem non-spoiler season rankings threads and that I'd seen was under the impression 15 and 16 was where some thought things started to get a bit messy in regards to production etc. But especially this season with all the power plays I don't feel they've been all that much? (and I've just started Week 5 and they're giving the Power a rest this week apparently so it sounds like we'll get a traditional round of no-twist nominations perhaps).
Also still no intruders (not that some of these casts are needing them on the other hand, I think BB12 having one was an exception so far) and the last 2 have kinda had the latecomers/staggered launch nights thing filling that side of things in a way as well. Although Channel 4 did have their share of stunts and a revolving door in that way (tbf the last few C4 seasons had the length for it but OTOH you can still do it in a shorter run season even if its just 1 or 2) so its all a bit of balance and personal taste with it as well iykwim.
I know very little about the general goings on of BB17 and BB18 (outside of BB17 iirc is the one that has Andrew Tate before we knew him), I don't see them brought up a lot, and I think some thought BB19 was a return to form so it'll be interesting to see what those ones are like when I get to them.
I've also been tandeming the archived thread here as I go (and I usually do a skim through of the ThisisBigBrother BOTS megathread etc after I'm done with the season as well. Some segements are good and interesting (especially when something major happens in the house and you get a bit of the audience thoughts and reaction to it), others get a bit of a skim/sped up or are a bit repetitive with the same discussion points.
Lately I've been watching through the dailies, sometimes doing a sit through of Thursday's BOTS for a bit of gist of who they think might go, then doing a loop back through the rest of the week (as theres stuff they'll rehash talking about) after the eviction eps and finishing up with Bit on the Psych. Not long now and Emma drops off BOTS after CBB15 and its just Rylan M-F except CBB16 which is 7 days (I think thats the USA vs UK one isnt it), and CBB18 and CBB20 have a Sunday BOTS according to the schematic on wikipedia.
But yes, TLDR, I've still been enjoying it and the twists and turns!
