🇬🇧 BB/CBB UK - Rewatch discussions

^I saw some article that they're officially resting CBB this year and maybe returning 'Spring 2027' But my crazy idea would've been to have half the cast of CBB25 coinciding with the 25th Anniversary of the first CBBUK in March be like a presenter squad (if they could get them) like Davina, Dermot, Emma, George Lamb, AJ & Will etc; and have maybe Vanessa Feltz host with Rylan or something that would be funny. And the rest some random celebs.
Honestly I think ITV jumped the gun with brining CBB back and should have waited until they worked out the obvious kinks in the civilian series.

As for what I picked up for the TikTok goes back to what I was saying pre BBAU… That they should cast more millennials. I really don’t think we’ve aged like other generations have. I mean I was born in ‘84 but mentally I’m still somewhere in my late 20’s only with the wisdom I thought I had when I was actually that age. For as much as a lot of our lives have calmed down I guarantee after a few drinks we could still kick off like we would have in the 2000’s.

For as much as I want to celebrate this series I can’t help but think it’s such a shame that a year later it all came tumbling down and nearly 20 years later they still haven’t fully recovered.

Why the core concept behind this era weren’t used as a roadmap for ITV’s revival is beyond me. Not saying they needed to adapt “Evil BB” but restoring the aspect of the show having a clear creative direction and purpose. For me the genius of this era will always be that each series seemed to build on the successful ideas of the last and the ideas were at least implemented with some sort of purpose.

CBBUK13 Week 2
  • Saturday: Sam gets a secret task to ask one of the housemates to tell them she fancies them. She asks Ollie to the treehouse asking him who he fancies and he genuinely says her and She says it back. 2nd part is losing her temper with someone where she creates a bit of a thing between Jasmine and Casey in the living area over Casey talking about Sam and Jasmine or something. She wins everyone their photos from home which makes Dappy apologise to Luisa for what he was saying about her Daughter being ashamed of her during their argument.
  • Next up today's Task is a Kids room (Jim, Casey, Linda, Dappy and Liz) and an Adults only room (Lee, Jasmine, Ollie, Luisa, Sam and Lionel) they each do ‘entertainment’ activities such as playing games with the Mr Monkey mascot, and in the other room telling scary story in the dark and pole dancing. They each win some food drinks and music later. Later Jim gets the hump about wanting to go to bed but not wanting to be woken up by the girls carrying on and giggling, also BB puts on Katy Perry’s Roar for the housemates to dance to. Later Jasmine comes out to try and talk to Jim but he’s still in a bit of a huff.

  • Sunday: Jim and Lionel wake up and still grumpy over Jasmine and Luisa’s noise. Mini task for a feast its the Knights Team (Led by Lionel with Luisa, Ollie, Casey, Liz, Linda) Vs the ‘Nimmerhammers’, a goblins team (Led by Dappy, with Lee, Jasmine, Jim, Sam? etc.) Round 1 is first to lose one of their sausage tail Dappy Vs Luisa being chased by the ‘BB Beast’ (a Dog) loses and its Dappy one of his fell off. Liz is concerned whether the dog was happy or not.
  • Round 2 each team competed to make the most spectacular potion volcano. Knights win again. Final Round is Casey Vs Lee in a Joust off they must pick the correct joust pusher that the other is standing behind to push them off. Lee gets Casey twice using up her free passes from Knights winning the previous rounds, then Casey knocks Lee off to win the Knights group the feast.
  • Next is face to face nominations. Liz upsets Jasmine with a nomination of harming herself with how beautiful she is, whilst Lee changes his vote from Sam (for an inappropriate reason that she didn’t like the sexy games they were playing in the task?) to Jim. Its Liz 8, Jim 7, Jasmine 3 and Luisa 2 up for the next eviction Liz apologises to Jasmine, Lionel and Jim make up after Jim was taken aback by Lionel nominating him.

  • Monday: New Shopping Task ‘The Democracy’ with a big voting apparatus in the living area, when the siren sounds all housemates must vote on something but not discuss their choices. Jim is told in secret only his vote counts and not to let on to pass the task. In first vote only he chose the can of slop instead of getting curry to eat until further notice. He voted Linda the most boring getting paint poured over her then having to watch it dry, Lee for a fake ‘Killer Nomination’, Giving up makeup, etc.
  • Luisa and Lionel are voted as most annoying who have to spend the night in an ‘annoying room’ with alarm clocks, a phone that rings with annoying menus, (Lionel tells the voice later to go f yourself - LOL), a lopsided table and stick man shaped mattresses. Theres also a tangled chain in the corner that has the key for the luxury bed cage and chocs/champagne but when unravelled it doesn’t quite reach, so Luisa climbs over the top to retrieve them. Lee and Jasmine are acting all flirty around the house again, and Jim tries to plant the idea that the task is weird.

  • Tuesday: The task is revealed to the house but they vote Jim as the housemate who was in control so they fail. On top of this Luisa and Jasmine kept some makeup in a stash that they were meant to give all of it up to BB for the task so BB will not be returning it until further notice, as well as Luisa pinching the box of chocolates and Champagne gets them a hot water ban and also gets Lionel arguing with Luisa when she tries to tell him its his fault because he asked her to, until Jim, Lee and Dappy separate them, but they settle it again later.

  • Wednesday: Mini task is a boxing themed one introduced by Evander on the screen. First its an outside warm up with exercise equipment and a punch strength machine. Then in a Red and Blue Team, the rest of the team must direct their blindfolded housemate to knock over the correct face pad to questions about who said what first. Blue Team wins.
  • The Hot water and makeup punishment is over. Next in the Eviction, Jim is saved first whilst Jasmine is evicted. She gets to choose two housemates to be safe from Friday’s eviction whilst the rest will be nominated, and picks Casey and Linda strangely because she wants the next one out of the rest to party with her on the outside. Lee is a bit shocked at Jasmine going and starts telling the others the public are playing games and He thinks Casey is as well, saying she was saying things to him like ‘why didn’t you just go along with it?’(The Showmance) when they were fake evicted.
  • This gets back to Casey through Luisa and Linda and she’s a bit upset at Lee trying to put it on her. Meanwhile Jim and Linda start at each other again when Linda takes a shot at Jim asking Luisa about not having a man in her life, and he tells Luisa to ask Linda about ‘what happened in Frank Carson’s dressing room’. This really offends Linda as it is clarified by her and on BOTS that its about the court case her late husband went through where he was accused of stealing money in the room in the 90’s, and so she has another go at Jim before refusing to speak to him for the night.

  • Thursday: Linda and Casey are still a bit moody about the previous night. Jim tries apologising to Linda. Liz gets a personal task with Dappy as an assistant to interview the housemates and write an article about the house to read out to them. Lee ends up in a mood, he reckons Casey lied to Liz and Dappy telling them that she and Lee kissed in the Bolt Hole, and he’s also a bit annoyed with Dappy telling Liz what Lee told him about Casey, and making it a bigger deal. Luisa later tells him to chill and just get on with it, He cant know how he or Casey are being perceived on the outside.
  • As a follow up to Dappy spouting off his intelligence during the argument with Luisa, BB sets the both of them a diary room IQ test. Luisa scores 69% whilst Dappy only 6%. Later on he’s in the Diary rom threatening to walk if its shown because he cant have himself looking dumb in-front of his fans. LOL. But agreeing to sleep on it.

  • Friday: Luisa, Ollie and Lee cheer up Dappy to stay with some baking some r-rated shaped bread (also talking about lactating and Lee reckons he can do it too when Luisa shows everyone). Mini task: Ollie Vs Lee in a Superfan obstacle course to get past security, scream for the Celeb with their face on top of the Treehouse Mansion.
  • Lee wins and wins a lunch with a superfan But its really the other housemates watching on and feeding the actress questions through an earpiece. Lionel almost blows it when he comes back but they win some food for it. Eviction Jim & Sam, Ollie & Dappy saved first, Down to Lee, Luisa, Lionel or Liz, with Lionel Evicted and He does a handkerchief and cane magic trick on exit. Afterward the housemates get a bit rowdy especially Dappy and Luisa with a Lord Lionel Blair song, and piss off Jim trying to get to bed.

  • BOTS: Guests this week included dance psych Peter Lovatt on again, Lionel’s Son Matt, Lauren Harries, Denise Welch on with Dexter Koh and Will Best, and Jasmine & Lionel being a bit prickly with each other about some of Lionels comments about her being loud and the love triangle and stuff during BOTP but then making up, among others.

CBBUK13 Week 3
  • Saturday: Jim starts tapping things and making noise in the morning to annoy Luisa. Mini task Talent show ‘In The Limelight’ judged by Jim, Linda and Luisa. Dappy sings his song ‘No Regrets’, Lee writes a song on Guitar, Casey does a comedy routine about being a model, Liz critiques the housemates Fashion, and Sam and Ollie do a TOWIE/MIC scene with surprise props and end up winning scoring two 10’s and a 9.
  • I also noticed the bit on BOTS during Iain Lee’s camera run segment that was brought up in the old thread at the time, of one of the crew members assisting by holding up the impromptu cue cards for Ollie and Sam or something. Afterwards the housemates get snacks and music (I feel like Dancing by the Nolans, All Rise by Blue and Whitney I wanna dance with somebody were played). Jim walks in and out not really interested. Later Luisa pranks Dappy putting earrings as nipples inside her top and Jim asks Casey if she still fancies Lee as they are drunk and seem to be fooling around with each other.

  • Sunday: Luisa and Jim have a bit of a back and forth over the topic of a woman doing her husband’s ironing for him. Jim tells Casey on a walk around the garden his experience in the last year being arrested (apparently it was as he was about to go on CBB11, He was arrested as part of the Operation Yewtree investigation into the Jimmy Saville stuff).
  • Luisa gets a secret task (that isn’t a secret task, the others must get her to fail). She has to try and get: Linda to compliment her, Liz to Laugh, Jim to disagree with her and Dappy to rap with her, but they all refuse, Liz putting on quite the performance in the bathtub talking about being depressed and being down on herself as Luisa walks in preparing to tell her a joke or something. The house wins a roast dinner for passing during which Luisa and Jim have another bit of an actual disagreement as Luisa cannot understand who would be voting to keep Jim in.
  • Nominations are Liz 7, Jim 6 Sam 2. Along the announcement the housemates were shown snippets of each nomination reason and some of them weren’t happy that Sam was nommed due to some ‘tactical’ reasons by Jim and Liz who wanted her up so they could be more likely to be voted out (or so they think), and and Liz gets a bit defensive in the discussion of the validity of playing the game/tactical voting.

  • Monday: Next Shopping Task - Arctic Explorers and Huskies. Luisa, Dappy, Casey and Lee are the Huskies, rest are Explorers and the garden has been blanketed in snow. They must pull the sleds around a circle or get chained up when the alarm sounds and assemble to watch the Polar bear statue.
  • They also do some tasks to win extra seconds for the final of the task like Linda answers questions in the Small task room with the Huskies drinking the answer of icy cold drinks, and Fishing where the huskies must remove fish from the line pulled out of the ice hole with teeth and gets weighed enough to scale to the pass side at the end. They win both.

  • The actual task though is another secret one where the explorers think the Huskies are sent off to sleep in the ‘Kennel’ but it’s actually a luxury Bar called Mutts Hut where they watch the others. Jim cooks but refuses to eat until the Huskies come out later and tell him he shouldn’t protest on their behalf. Linda meanwhile thinks he’s just trying to suck up to everybody.
  • Whilst the Huskies were in the room the others were given some liqueur shake things which causes another argument between Jim and Linda later on in front of the Huskies where she tries to call him out for saying that he didn’t drink any to show the rest up or something, to which he brings out the untouched ones and they fall over in the snow.

  • Tuesday: Linda volunteers to come do an eating task in the Diary room to win the Huskies a nice breakfast (although they are already getting one). Casey and Lee prank Luisa asking about Jasmine by fake arguing. The Huskies ask the others some ‘killer questions’ in Diary room and watch their responses. Afterward they complete what they think is the final task by reaching North Pole and smashing groceries out of the frozen ‘Ice Cubes’ in a minute. Afterward the real task is revealed and they passed.
  • Dappy & Luisa get punished for noms talk to clean whilst wearing a two in one suit together. Lee talks to Liz about his comments about 9/11 and care for animals being taken out of proportion, Ollie and Sam discuss their friendship and where they are at with each other, Luisa talks to Lee about him getting back into bed with Casey and he tells her Casey’s been saying stuff like she’s after him again kinda thing?

  • Wednesday: Ollie and Sam get a ‘get off the fence’ task by presenting their opinions on the Casey/Lee, Jim/Linda and Jim/Luisa situations in front of the others, as well as their own thing between them. Ollie hates doing it but they finish and win some treats for the both of them in the mansion treehouse. Lee is a bit annoyed again that he’s being made to look bad yet again and Casey has been referring to it as FWB (as a a joke she later says).
  • After Liz is evicted, another round of face to face noms takes place. Luisa gets her right to vote rescinded as she tried to swap her envelope last minute before nominating last. Jim Linda, Oliie, Luisa and Lee Up. Dappy feels bad about Nominating Linda and Casey nominating him and tries to make up with them.

  • Meanwhile Ollie was nominated by Linda that he should voice his opinion, so he feels the need to now stand up for himself and gathers the group to explain that he hasn’t needed to confront anyone thus far and also didn’t defend Lee during the off the fence task before because he shares a bed with Casey and didn’t want to come across two faced and make it awkward kinda thing.
  • Afterwards though Linda and Luisa are discussing how Ollie’s stunt felt a bit performative, and Luisa starts taking the piss by singing ‘It’s all about Ollie’ which he overhears from outside and confronts her about saying its a bit unfair to say it was like he was telling everyone he got nominated because he’s so fabulous or something. He goes back outside and vents to Casey and Jim.

  • Thursday: Linda makes up with Dappy and Ollie, Dappy doesn’t talk to Luisa all day until later and they make up about Luisa saying he looked sexist next to Jim Davidson or something. Nominees give speeches on why they should stay and smears about another nominee. Ollie’s references Luisa’s slight the previous night right after she just apologised to him, so they have another chat about it that Ollie shouldn’t hold back his opinion. Lee and Casey get flirty again.

  • Friday: Mini task is a Big Camera in the living area, BB calls all housemates for a Selfie, then one by one to bring someone or a few for different categories. Afterwards Jim gets a mini task to interview them all in the Mansion Treehouse to give a speech on the mood of the house. Linda refuses to take part.
  • Eviction: Jim and Ollie saved first. Linda is Evicted. Afterwards Casey and Lee have been cuddling up all day and It seems everyone notices that Lee seems to be back to Casey now. They look to be having sus water running bathroom visits and some doona dancing at lights off?

  • BOTS: They had a couple random VTs this week, from Blue’s Antony holding auditions for a celeb to cover for Lee whilst in the house, Paul Danan and Lionel doing some weird acting class skit, and a visit to Ollie’s house.
  • I also noticed during Linda’s best bits package it looks like they used the Jail for Lee and Jasmine? at some point but it didn’t make the daily show highlights.
  • In the nominees quiz VT an ‘Ocean Quahog’ is apparently a clam. Some of the guests included Colleen Nolan, Louie Spence, Gina Rio (BB14), John McCririck, Matt Johnson, Eamonn Holmes, Charlie Sloth etc.

CBBUK13 Finale Section + Housemates/Overall Season wrap
  • Saturday & Sunday: New task is a Freeze/ignore the obvious task where a clock with a door on it chimes in the living area and a visitor/s comes through. Theres F&F visits with some emotional scenes. Blue come in and sing One Love, and Dappy’s bandmate Fazer comes in with some Dancers while o Regrets plays. Jim’s wife and Daughter give him some Ironed shirts.
  • One of the big visits though was Jasmine coming in and calling out Lee and Casey on what looks like has been going on, although she says she still cares for them. Lee cant hold himself in character though and talks back. After Jasmine leaves Casey is a bit upset and both her and Lee have a bit of a debrief with the others as Lee says to her they haven’t done anything but be friends and Luisa tells him He still perhaps needs to consider how it looks still in the context of the house and whats being shown kinda thing.
  • In the second day, Casey’s Mum tells her she should stay away from Lee cause He’s been mugging her off in the Diary room, which Lee tells her isn’t true although he has just said a few things about being frustrated with her.
  • Afterwards they get some music and canapĂŠs, then, whilst assembled at the lounge the clock chimes for the final time in which Emma comes through and Evicts Lee. After that Dappy does a nudie run to the hot tub and Jim & Luisa talk to Casey wheres she’s at after Lee’s eviction.

  • Monday: Dappy gets a secret task to include various prize items displayed in the diary room (Such as Pizza, fake tan, etc) as he likes into a rap to the others without them sussing him out. He completes this task. Mini task is a ‘Last Chance Saloon’ where the housemates are subjected to questions from each other as well as viewers. After that Jim and Luisa appear to be getting on and chatting, Ollie and Sam have another chat about perhaps seeing each other on the outside after the show, and everyone does their Diary room recaps and dances to Clean Bandit/Jess Glynne Rather Be.
  • Tues & Wed (Finale): Theres the usual final dinner with the Final 6 with speeches etc. Evander was absent from the ex-hms at Finale, Final placings are Casey, Sam, Luisa, Ollie, Dappy Runner Up and Jim as the Winner.
  • BOTS: Keith Lemon was back after a while on the Monday episode, Rustie Lee, Lesley Joseph were some other guests. The post finale ep had Iain and Emma in the house, The End Song singalong was ‘We Don’t Have to take our Clothes Off” by Jermaine Stewart (1986), which was lead by Rylan.

    Housemate wraps:
  • Evander Holyfield: I think he came across a bit quiet/out of his depth as to what he signed up for. Had the few odd and awkward instances (like the horse thing with Liz) but was pretty laid back otherwise. A bit of a surprise first boot, although would we have seen him open up any more had he stayed longer idk. He retired from boxing right around that general time.
  • Jasmine Waltz: She was a bit loud off the cuff at the beginning then got caught up in the Lee and Casey triangle. Being evicted also changed up that dynamic which led to a bit more drama with Lee and Casey. Nonetheless I think I saw that she and Lee dated after that but it didn’t last too long.
  • Lionel Blair: Speaking of being off the cuff, it was funny in retrospect how scandalised he seemed to be at first with Jasmine talking about fingerbanging, although maybe he felt it wasn’t lady like more than the content, as days later here’s Lionel in the 18+ room plus two of his memorable quotes this season being ‘suck my d!ck’ and ‘go fk yourself’ in the annoying room. Another one no longer with us but he had some moments. His little handkerchief into a baton magic trick became a bit of a thing too.
  • Liz Jones: At first I think many had her pegged to be one of if not first out but she kept getting through evictions and had people wondering where her fanbase was coming from. To her credit she did start to come out of her shell a bit more as it went on.
  • Linda Nolan: I think a bit like Vicky in the previous season, her long standing feud with Jim ended up casting her in a less than sympathetic light by the end sometimes and making him look a bit beaten on or trying to goad him into an argument, although they seemed to again be civil with each other at the reunion bots.
  • Lee Ryan: Well he certainly got himself stuck in a spiral with that whole Casey and Jasmine thing didn’t he. Whilst yes, it was a step removed the typical BB showmance which invariably involves someone on the outside getting forgotten about, He was a single man who wasn’t looking for anything serious yet still managed to not do a very good job of keeping it casual and coming off like a bit of a player, whether Casey was also gameplaying or not it seemed. He’s obviously since continued with Blue, they just released their latest album this month.

  • Casey Batchelor: She did quite well for a model on CBB, typically history wise they tend to be earlier boots, her side of the showmance triangle drama was also a bit to and fro, from whether she was playing a game or just naive to go back to flirty and ‘friends’ with Lee after embarrassing her, or embarrassing herself a bit - ymmv.
  • Sam Faiers: She was also a bit under the radar for some of the season, possibly helped along a little when she was nominated for some ‘strategic’ reasons by some TOWIE vote perhaps. She ended up leaving TOWIE not long after due to her Crohn’s disease and to try and reconcile with Joey Essex. She had a bit of Will they wont they with Ollie, but it didn’t go anywhere after the show it seemsIt also came out she was having weekly meetings with OK to write her column whilst in the house.
  • Luisa Zissman: She was one of the bigger characters of the season I thought. I remember seeing a throwaway mention of her in relation to BOTS (where she has a kind of AJ/Carol McGiffin sortof role next season) and in connection to something to do with BB13 so at first I did confuse her with Lydia but then saw her pop up with the last name as a guest on BOTS in CBB12 and clocked oh it must’ve been CBB13. Anyways she was front and centre a lot of the season and having some face offs with Dappy Lionel Ollie and Jim along the way as well as having her opinion in the Lee Casey Jasmine triangle and stuff. As mentioned she returns with a part in BOTS next season.
  • Ollie Locke: He was kind of peripheral as well in the early part of the season before kind of being pushed to get off the fence a bit more in the last part. In 2016 He helped co found the dating app ‘Chappy’ in 2016 which has since been absorbed into Bumble, and looks like he kept appearing on Made in Chelsea and has also appeared in Celebrity Hunted with his husband.
  • Dappy: He kinda went through a bit of a journey as well from trying hard to maintain his image near the beginning (Is was weird how he seemed to stop flirting with Jasmine also as soon as Lee moved in) and his face off and make up with Luisa to showing the public another side to him by the end. It looked like he maintained his friendship with Jim shortly after the show when he ad a court case for assault, and he’s continued releasing music since.
  • Jim Davidson: Also had a bit of a redemptive arc of sorts from his historical reputation (there was some drama with Brian Dowling when they appeared on Hell’s Kitchen in 2007 among other things) and almost appearing in CBB11 the previous year and was literally detained enroute as part of the Yewtree investigations (Razor Ruddock was his replacement). He had a hard time with Linda and Luisa in particular but they made up along the way and the public seemed to rally behind him rather than Linda, by topping the save vote a lot of weeks he was up.

  • Season overall thoughts: Thought it was another interesting season, The Lee/Casey/Jasmine thing dominated, as did Jim vs Linda and Luisa was an integral character too. Bit of a contrast this time the Americans were out first, and Jim Luisa, Casey and Liz surprised some with how long they lasted. As Emma noted in the bots finale walkthrough that the heated jail was made a big deal of but hey didn’t end up using it much (a bit like iirc was it CBB6 the big jail only made the edit once at the very end).
  • Rylan slotted into AJ’s vacated role on BOTP well, although I did miss the musical performances from the Sunday show, hopefully they make at least a few further returns in other episodes as they also stop doing Saturdays except for a few CBB’s from here on in. The picture frames during the eviction interviews were also a fun little touch stage and set design wise.

    Next: Power Trip!

BBUK15 'Power Trip' (2014) Started

BBUK15 Launch/Week 1 part a
  • Launch: House is pretty cool, bit of a digital/spacey/futuristic/computer etc kinda theme in some parts as per the tagline Power Trip, a few screens up like the Housemate portrait wall, and even off the Diary room chair. The Diary room button is now a handprint button.
  • The Shell/floorplan is similar to BB14, the main differences are The bedroom and bathroom (safe house) have swapped positions, the vegetable garden is now the port for a big pool, and the tree house is gone, but theres now a second story ‘Pod’ next to the pool area accessed by a spiral staircase.
  • It’s another 2 part Launch, with 10 on the first night, 6 on the second. Theres a BBAPP this time which on opening night the viewers voted Pauline (who was the rapper in Kylie Minogue’s ’Shocked’ in the early 90’s) to be the first Power Trip Housemate. She goes to the ‘Control Room’ which is off near the staircase to the front door, and speaks to the Siri/Alexa esque ‘Iris’ to watch the others VT’s and make two decisions, a housemate to punish, and one to reward. She chooses Mark and Matthew who stand in the boxes out in the garden. Mark gets ÂŁ5000, while Matthews box raises and he must spend the first night in the box.
  • From the others we have an American with Kimberly, and a few talking themselves upon making some bold statements as they usually do like Steven and Danielle. I clocked Steven looks reminding a little bit of Iain Lee in a way before they said on BOTS lol.

  • Day 2 (Friday): Danielle starts getting overwhelmed by the others talking about sex and swearing a lot (she’s self portrayed as being a good Scottish catholic girl yet also is a lingerie model?) and like she’s not fitting in.
  • 6 new housemates enter on the second night as Pauline watches their VT’s in the control room then has to make another big decision: awarding a pass to the final (Despite Emma saying they’d never done it before, I suppose they could squeeze a technicality that Celeb Hijack was different and a shorter span to get a free pass to the final). Pauline liked Ash’s VT that he didnt appear to be trying to bullshit himself up (we also in this set have an 18 year old Irish girl Ashleigh, and an Actor, Chris, to the previous night’s Christopher).
  • Pauline ends up awarding the pass to Helen. She’s also told she will have to issue a ‘Killer nomination’ on Sunday night, which wont just be an automatic nomination for the first vote, but a perpetual nomination each and every week.
  • Pauline gets right onto telling some of the others about some of the VT's she watched, that Jale was saying she doesn’t get on well with others at times and Chris’ joke he would piss in the sink and call everyone bastards. Tamara and Helen starting bitching with each other about the two of them, Helen saying Jale was giving Pauline a dirty look or something. They are both a bit stand offish talking with Chris about people being ‘fake’, and later I think he comes off just a bit awkward and might need some time to settle in, as he asks who has the spare bed space (they are all doubles, and Iirc its Winston who has room).

  • Saturday: Everyone's still sussing each other out. Chris and Helen appear to clear the air over the 'fake' chat the previous night. There's a mini task in which Pauline and Christopher have to guess what the category is that the others have arranged themselves in the garden from the Diary room. They pass.
  • Next Pauline gets to pick 3 housemates to take into the 'power pad' for a lunch. They will also receive their suitcases. She picks Helen and Mark again (which gets a side eye from Christopher) and Danielle. Later She's allowed to take 4 more in for a party (where Snap's 'The Power!' is played lol).
  • Marlon and Kimberly discuss whether its worth getting into any controversial debates this early on or keep their opinions to themselves for a little bit after Danielle raises her's from her VT about Gay marriage and the church and stuff. Marlon thinks groups will start to splinter off soon. Tamara gets a bit drunk and is carried to bed.

  • Sunday: Nominations Day. Jale gets told off by Pauline (mark reckons it was in a joking way) that she was taking too much chicken of the chicken soup she'd made everyone. Jale gets the most noms on 5, followed by Danielle and Tamara on 4. (they changed the rolling total way they show viewers the tally this time too, in boxes of points, kinda like I used to follow along at the end of nominations in early BBAU seasons). Pauline later makes her Killer nomination, but it isn't shown until the next night Daily (She doesn't know who is up).
  • Danielle again gets upset about all the ongoing sex talk and Pauline and a few others take her up to the Pod to console her and Pauline tells her maybe she should choose her battles kinda thing whether its worth kicking up such a thing about it iykwim.

  • Monday: Pauline and Danielle have another chat about last night. Mini Task today is the chance to win back more suitcases where they have to perform to the others to vote on who was the best. The topics are ‘Most Sexy’ (Jale Vs Kimberly dancing with props), ‘Most Weird’ (Chris Vs Ashleigh pulling faces) and a tag team of ‘Most Disgusting’ (Marlon/Ash vs Toya/Tamara slopping disgusting ingredients on each other).
  • Nominations are announced with some down lighting, including showing Pauline's Killer nomination of Jale. Jale surprises some of them at appearing to take it well, they were expecting she might be the one to kick off more about it but she says she's kinda used to some not getting what she's about.
  • Danielle on the other hand, starts mouthing off about how she's been nominated because she 'dosent act like a slag, like some of the others' which causes Helen to confront her about it as it comes back to her via Steven, who also cops it from Danielle as her and Helen have a bit of a spat over it.
  • Later Kimberly attempts to bridge the peace by telling Helen Danielle wants to come apologise but Helen's having none of it atm, telling Danielle why would she want to apologise to someone she'd just earlier dismissed as 'having no class'.
  • Elsewhere Pauline and Toya are talking to Jale and Pauline is telling her how she might not realise how she comes across sometimes and she had to pick someone and Jale made herself an easy target. Jale gets a bit upset but insists she doesn't want to play the victim and walks away from Toya attempting to give her an arm on the shoulder.
  • It's back to Vote to Evict (like in BB14) The BBAPP also offers some votes for 99p as an alternate voting method (they haven't had that since the Facebook voting during BB12 iirc).

  • First few days BOTS: another bit of a set revamp, bits of the Green/Yellow amidst the blues/purples like in the House colour schemes as usual; It looks like they're not using the ‘sweaty box’ this season for the end of episode chat/BBNEWS but doing it out on the main floor. Dexter BB14 was on the opening show and he has history with Danielle. As aforementioned they have Luisa Zissman doing a bit of an AJ role interviewing the housemates, regular guest on the panel, and like Carol McGiffin in CBB13 a segment with Rylan and Iain on BOTP. Some more guests in the first couple days included some further BB14/recent CBB HMs, Michelle Heaton, Dane Bowers, Stacey Solomon etc.

    Continued in part b.

BBUK15 Week 1 part b
  • Tuesday: Shopping Task opens by smiley faces being displayed on the screens and Pharrell’s ‘Happy’ being played as the wake up song. It’s ‘The Power of Positivity’ task - and housemates must try and keep smiling throughout several challenges. It’s another ‘keep the number of fails below the number in a locked box’ ones. To assist the housemates, BB appoints Toya and Steven as the ‘Positivity Police’ as encouragement with stormtrooper-esque kinda white uniforms.
  • Helen’s had a realisation in the Diary room perhaps she was a bit harsh to Danielle and tells her they should maybe speak after the task is done. BB announces a no makeup/fake tan rule and Mark is visibly distressed. Theres a shock pad challenge where a handful of them give answers to questions by picking who they think is the most game playing etc and shock them with a smile. Kimberly appears to take the shocks the best.

  • Next task is in pairs giving glowing reviews on some disgusting mocktails. Out of the six that compete, only Ashleigh refuses to do the Fin Tonic one earning them a fail. The last task for the day is Steven and Toya select Christopher and Danielle to be ‘Happy Campers’ outside under a clear tent roof which actually starts sprinkling their sleeping bag with water while they’re underneath while the others take a breather from the task.
  • Earlier Christopher was annoyed with Pauline having a bit of a loud disagreement with him over thinking he was being selfish with the fruit or something along those lines. Later Toya seems to be bitching about it to Jale calling him inconsiderate, but getting frustrated thinking Jale isn’t listening to her or agreeing with her. Jale later talks to Marlon that her theory she’s going to keep watching is Toya might be trying to game play by going around and winding people up.

  • Wednesday: Steven and Toya are asked by BB to use megaphones to encourage the others in a ‘ROFL’ session. Christopher is bitching about the way Helen spoke to Danielle the other day. The last 4 yet to win their suitacses get a task to grin and bear it by spinning a wheel. Ashleigh gets a durian face mask, Kimberly has to read out her nominations, Ash to rank the girls on sex appeal, and Marlon gives himself a bucket of fish blend over himself.
  • The Final task is a slippery garden obstacle course collecting tokens with a big staircase at the end of three pairs (Mark/Tamara, Danielle/Winston, and Matthew/Pauline). They rack up 2 more fails for assists across the spinning balance beam portion. the task is passed as they only got 5 fails out of a 10 allowed. Afterwards Jale and Toya have had a talk, similarly Helen and Danielle, however Pauline and Helen are still bitching about Christopher.

  • Thursday: Overnight Jale overhears Pauline commenting on how Ashleigh seems to be hanging out the edge of their bed. They have a discussion about it in the morning but clash as Pauline takes it as Jale flat out accusing her of saying Jale was hogging the bed, and Pauline ends up storming off back in the bedroom telling the others she doesn’t want to speak to Jale again.
  • Jale later tells BB in the diary room she thinks she fell for Pauline trying to bait her into trying to explain herself just so she could have a go at her and make her look the irrational one or something, and later tells Christopher he should maybe just also let it be for a bit and take the higher road kindof thing when Pauline fobs him off trying to take her aside to talk about how he didn’t appreciate the way she went about talking to Jale.
  • Tamara and Winston have been close recently so the others help him set up a date with Tamara in the pod where they kiss and everyone sees. Chris is secretly called to the Diary room then to the control room, voted as next power housemate and told he will make a series of nominations over the next days, the first after the eviction.

  • Friday: Mark gets a mini task to be ‘Mystic Mark’ for some of the others. Eviction time. Jale is Saved First, Tamara Evicted. They can hear Chants of get Pauline Out from the crowd. Chris has an earpiece and nominates Pauline in the toilet, which is then relayed to the housemates by BB. Pauline thinks it’s revenge for her time with the Power. Steven thinks he’s sussed out that its Chris. Meanwhile Christopher and Pauline have a chat and appear to make up with each other and both get a bit teary. Chris also finds its emotionally hard to nominate again, nominating Christopher, his portrait turning purple with a sound effect which alerts the others.
  • BOTS: Some more guests this week were Josie & Luke A talking about winners, Aisleyne’s not a fan of Christopher, dropping a c-bomb then having to awkwardly sit through the friend on the phone chat, Kate Marlow was also on the midweek episode with a segment this week, etc.
