BB 2025 season ratings thread

It appears there is little confidence in ratings here in New Zealand. Big Brother is being dumped into a 10am slot starting Tuesday, but is available for streaming the day before. Still not up yet though.
Its only ever aired in primetime in NZ three times. 2004 when it aired on Prime, 2020 when it was on Three (and they dumped it into late night due to low ratings) and 2022 (where it eventually got moved to Duke at midday due to low ratings). Even in 2001-2003 on TV2 it was squashed into a 6pm-7pm timeslot and lots of shows/specials were skipped because they couldn't all fit in there.

Its never been treated right here.

I think 10 will be pretty happy with those numbers (particularly, given the tiny lead in). Obviously, let’s see how they hold up.

will be interesting to see what happens though as golden bach and mkr are only on two nights a week, and both wrap up next week i believe.

If anything, the viewership can only increase as all the other networks' shows start to wind down for the year. Perhaps that was an element of Ten's strategy here.

Incorrect. The first three seasons (2001-2003) were on TV2 at 6 or 6:30 up against the news.

Discussed it at work with everyone today as well, the ratings aren't crazy high but really it is November, at the pointy end of the ratings season. I reckon as long as they hold viewers and increase for evictions/nominations weekly, they will consider this a success and return it for 2026. Tbh this is the level Masterchef holds so I can't see them not investing more into it. The reach is high and I think there was overall a positive word of mouth for its return to 10 so excited to see how it'll play out over the next 6 weeks or so.

10 have signed a 3 year contract and I imagine backing out of it comes with some hefty fees.

Some decent ratings and very good overall stats shared by 10. With a lot of criticism from media / general public today, it does make me a little worried for the decline.

To put some numbers into perspective -
appreciate very different, but some food for thought - BBUK has had some god awful ratings against Celeb Traitors, but have surged on catch up. One ep rated just under 300k in overnights, but within a week, had surpassed over 1million.

As long as the network are getting numbers in some form, and viewers are seeing the ads, that’s a good sign.

Sorry, I predict a decline. The initial interest for the launch then going into daily shows that echo channel 7. Glad it got off to a strong launch. Almost expected. This week will provide more realistic figures.
