Hmmmm. I think TEN are giving it a topline, fast moving edit over three episodes to acquire new viewers in the series critical weeks. More in depth editing means viewers really have to be into it, and following a lot of detail. TEN want bigger numbers, so their approach makes sense in that respect. Maybe we'll see more indepth storylines further into the series.
