Episode Australian Survivor (2016) - Episode 26 FINALE Discussion

Genuinely moved and thrilled she won. She was my favorite from the beginning. That final immunity challenge was amazing, and Kristie's tribal council performance was incredible.

I'm trilled with good this season was. The production values and challenges were up to the American standard. The game seemed boring for awhile, but there were many great and memorable players. Even someone like Evan was entertaining.

@MoonbeamLevels 100% and if I were there and I had to drop out or didn't get through I'd still be happy that I made it there.
I'm glad Kristy kept to her word though, but Lee didn't step down Kristy won herself even though she tried to get him to step down, cos I think she knew if she stepped down he'd take El.

And I feel Nick just wants screen time.

Um I don't believe Kristie tbh... it's easy now to say her goal was to get rid of Vavau then Saanapu... because that's how it happened but when was it made clear that was her specific game plan? Just because that's how it happened doesn't mean it happened because of you mate?

She was right about the only one being in all 3 tribes though, and she really did have the toughest slog!
I did wonder if she was saying it as it happened, but we will never know. She was underestimated and they're narky because for whatever reason and by whatever method, she outlasted, outplayed, out manoeuvered and managed to stay in the game. They could've got rid of her much earlier but didn't.

Haha you know I'm only kidding.

And maybe I will. :D
Please do and yes, I did. Seriously, I would never think to do something like that and would be too shit scared to actually do it. I am more into boxes of sterile gloves. They are very useful at home, lol.

I've just finished. I haven't read other comments anywhere. This was honestly the best Survivor finale I have ever seen and I've probably seen 90% or more of the US versions. A few points:

1) There was some weird photoshopping happening in the final challenge. It didn't affect anything, it was just weird
2) Kristie's speech to Lee was everything. Had me in tears
3) El and Lee who are reportedly living together now (may be Brisbane news) ...... ok
4) Love, love, love the outcome

It seems like they just let everyone else implode on themselves or psych their own selves out - original and smart. Proved themselves a true Survivor fan and made a whole new type of player.

...I have to agree with you here... I'd never ever seen Jeff Probst or Survivor in action before this series so didn't really know what to expect... I'd never even The Pag before either... when the first few shows aired I thought that The Pag was quite 'wooden' and stilted and looked out of his depth with his role but about 5 shows in he was great... I've liked him from then onwards... I still don't know whether Jeff is better or worse than The Pag as a host and don't really care... The Pag will always be my favourite out of the 2 of them... The Pag helped me break my 'virginity' with the show as I watched Survivor for the first time ever... to The Pag... I salute you!... you did a brilliant job indeed!... cheers.
I loved him in Underbelly:Badness. Phwaor!

I haven't seen the jury part of tribal council yet, but if she changed their minds/opinions and had them favouring her, well, it's still good playing. Take it to the end, the very end.

...I believe that he did because his legs went to jelly and were trembling to the point that he couldn't stand any longer... he fell down onto rock... he didn't step down... cheers.

I didn't get the impression he stepped down voluntarily either, but of course he'll give the impression that he did in the post-show interviews.

This is why we need a reunion show. I could happily watch another hour of Nick, Phoebe, Sue, JL, Kylie, Brooke and Flick. And bring back Craig and Conner.
