Episode Australian Survivor (2016) - Episode 26 FINALE Discussion

I've said in previous forum chats that maybe the jury should each be kept in isolation so they make their decisions individually without interference from the other outcasts. Because obviously at the Jury Villa they all discuss and form the result between them well before the final TC.

Thoughts?

She turned 'em!

I think they all discussed how she was just Lee's weird little patsy who'd done nothing blah blah blah. I would say the bulk went into Tribal thinking they were going to vote Lee.

I feel the opposite - I like that they all get to pow wow and compare notes, pretty sure Lee's snakey ways were dissected, they hated him.
Some of the dumber ones need a bit of guidance after being manipulated quite a bit too.

In this instance you could well be right. But that's why we needed a reunion episode. Hopefully Ten will get lots of feedback so they do one next time. Surely the betting odds showing Kristie as the probable winner for the past month should be enough to convince them it needs to be LIVE?

Lee just didn't seem prepared at all. Kristie had numbers toted up in her head. She won the tribal by having an answer to EVERYTHING and he laid down and died. It makes her "I don't have the votes" plea to him at the final challenge all the more ironic.

And there is the difference between a player WHO HAS WATCHED THE SHOW religiously, and a "player" on there to get famous or win dough using a faux nice guy characterisation. Good luck getting on The Bachelor now, dickhead!

I still can't believe how fucking LAME El's questions were.

Nah, a lot had summed up fake Lee, Sam came out with a zinger, and some of them didn't even bother to quiz lee, there was a lot of contempt there

From the article:

"She now plans to tour around the country with her winnings.

“I am going to buy and convert a van and do it up and travel around Australia,” she said.

“I’m also going to rescue the oldest dog from the dog shelter to take with me.”"

...the trouble with them not discussing it between them is that as they all get ejected one by one and aren't allowed to talk to each other means that they won't be aware of who is being the nastiest and doesn't deserve to win... if for instance say... Nick went out a lot earlier than the rest he would've possibly thought "Lee wasn't too bad when he evicted me" because of how politely Lee was stabbing him in the back but because of the back stories from them as they came out one by one after him he had a pretty clear cut idea of what he was really like now... so yeah... they should be allowed to talk in my opinion for sure... cheers.

...hahaha!... would anyone have even bothered to vote if Kristie had chosen El to go to the finale with her?... I wonder lol!... cheers.

We did it :D
Against all odds, Kristie smashed immunity AND won over the entire jury apart from her opponent's girlfriend (sorry, there's nothing going on there... SHEEESH!!!)

So pleased for her, and for a great ending to a fantastic season that went a bit pear-shaped but pulled back in the end.

The jury were fantastic, apart from El whose comments were as bland as her gameplay.

Ah yes, but they still get to go to all the TCs and also get to ask a question, and hear the responses to everyone else's questions at the Final TC. I just think they would give a less tainted vote, as sometimes in the US Survivor it's very one sided (just like tonight). So I dunno, maybe it would mix it up a bit and make it less predictable?

Can we give a clap clap clap for Pags who wasn't near as awful as we thought he might be. Well, apart from all those life insurance ads. You did OK, Pags.

...I have to agree with you here... I'd never ever seen Jeff Probst or Survivor in action before this series so didn't really know what to expect... I'd never even The Pag before either... when the first few shows aired I thought that The Pag was quite 'wooden' and stilted and looked out of his depth with his role but about 5 shows in he was great... I've liked him from then onwards... I still don't know whether Jeff is better or worse than The Pag as a host and don't really care... The Pag will always be my favourite out of the 2 of them... The Pag helped me break my 'virginity' with the show as I watched Survivor for the first time ever... to The Pag... I salute you!... you did a brilliant job indeed!... cheers.

Pags was great. I loved his doubletake when JL called him out for "ignorance and arrogance".

Provocative in tribals. He really got the hang of challenge narrating, after a while, and just seemed genuinely buzzed to be there. I also think he was genuinely pleased Kristie won. Go Pags!
