All the nice things Tahan does get overlooked!

Tahan said Jade can go suck a fat one, that is much worse than Jade's comment about Tahan. At least Jade took her comment back and realised she made a mistake.

What's wrong with sucking Joey Fatone? And how is that worse?

I don't think they get overlooked at all.
She obviously has a lot of fans and I'm sure they're not fans because they don't see her positive side.
Nobody is all bad, or all good.

You are so cool. You make me want to like Jade. <3

LOVE your work x

Tahan is a good person, like mikidiki stated, yes she has a bitchiness about her and she does own it, but she is still capable of being a nice person, just with some backbone.

So I will use this thread to focus on them.

Off the top of my head..

Ben -

1. rubbed tanning lotion on him to help him get a tan
2. washed him in the shower
3. Was generally supportive and nice to him
4. Saved him from nominations

Mikkayla -

1. Supported her when she didn't think her dress fit
2. Offered her encouragement when she admitted she didn't like being Asian
3. Gave Mikkayla a message

Tim -
1. Pop his back pimples

Matt -
1. Gave him a message

Heidi -
1. Fixed her hair

Jade-
1. Called Jade the prettiest girl in the house

Tully -
1. Generally supportive of her through her struggles

Mr. Clooney-
1. Rubbed his butt
2. Cleaned up after him

Ed-
1. Was there for him earlier on when he needed her

While I really like Tahan, and I hate to be the one to burst this Mother Theresa like bubble you have weirdly tried to place her in, these "nice things" you have trotted out like a list for possible attributes to win a Nobel Peace prize are actually a bunch of nothingness. I mean when things like popping Tim's back pimples and wiping a dogs fucking arse make your list, you know you are pretty much grasping at straws.

And what exactly are all these messages she gave the housemates?!

If I were to highlight what I admire about Tahan (off the top of my head) it would be the fact she is a strong independent woman, she speaks her mind, she makes healthy life style choices, she is sassy, she is smart and she is super likable.

Fixed Heidi's hair indeed.

Tahan was ADORABLE in the last episode. She has been in the house so long and every day she is like a happy puppy dog excited for what comes next. If I was in there that long I'd be like Wednesday Addams with a dark cloud of rain over me.

I HATE Tahan's "honesty" that in reality is cruelty.

But I love how she is like a happy puppy and how strong and independent and confident she is.

Respect.

I'm sick of everyone trying to make Tahan out to be the bad guy when it comes to Mikkayla and Jade. Jade said she wish she would DIE for crying out loud, that is the lowest of lows!!!! And have you not noticed how much more harmony is in the house since Mikkayla left??
Tahan has always been honest. She may not have a filter and things might come out a little harsh, but it's her honest opinion. I personally just think she isn't good with words.. Her vocabulary is very 'young'... Eg; she says 'like' a lot and she says things such as shut the front gate and just kidding etc; so I believe she just I sn't great at voicing her opinion in a way that doesn't cause offence.
She annoyed me at first when she constantly spoked about her hair dryer but other than that I've always thought she is real and just a little misunderstood.

Just a slight correction... Jade said "IF Tahan died" NOT "wish Tahan died", theres a big difference between the two, tahans mum made the same mistake on nomination night, I think because "wish" makes more of an impact. I'm not saying that either way is particularly nice but certainly one has a lot more impact than the other.

I didn't mean that in a word for word kind of way. The general context of the sentence she said, no matter the exact wording, was that she basically wished she would die.
She said: "if Tahan fell in a hole and died, I wouldn't care".. In my opinion that's practically wishing death upon someone or at the very least, saying that they are dead to you already since you wouldn't care if they passed in the physical sense.
It's the meanest thing someone can say!
I have patients at work who sometimes annoy the crap out of me and if they pass away does that mean I don't care? No. I still have compassion and feel for the family who has lost their love one. I would never not care!

I know that I'm taking it in a very literal sense but I just don't think it's a 'passing comment' that she should get away with, whether I'm a Jade fan or not!

Edit: sorry dweebie, not this entire post is directed at you, I realised it may come across that way!

Are you for real?

Not that I think there was anything so awful about either comment, we all make stupid remarks when someone pisses is off, but...

Forgetting who said what, because we know 'fans' and 'haters' are bias...

Would you be more offended if someone told you to go suck a fat one or if they told you if you were dead they wouldn't care?

After reading comments on YouTube I have found that too many people DO overlook all the good/nice things Tahan had said and done.

You forgot to mention that Tahan also saved Mikkayla from the block one of the first few weeks.

I do find it funny that you used an example of her supporting Mikkayla but then Tahan was totally nasty to her.
Tahan was too nice to Mikkayla the first few weeks. She was constantly calling her gorgeous and trying to lift her self esteem every time he would cry over her weight and Asian features.
As the weeks progressed, Mikkayla began openly disliking Tahan on the basis that she found her annoying. It wasn't until after Mikkayla betrayed Tahan (talking crap behind her back with the girl clique), that Tahan began being "mean" to Mikkayla.

But please keep in mind that there were other HMs who poked fun at Mikkayla's eating. Tim made a joke during Talent Show night about how much Mikkayla eats, and everyone laughed. All Tahan ever did was mimic Mikkayla eating fast then wondering why she didn't fit in her clothes. Sure it was distasteful (although very true), but Mikkayla was just as mean to Tahan.

ValaVarda I'm warming up to Tahan again so I'm not trying to be anti-Tahan, but I think Mikk thanked Tahan for saving her and then Tahan said "No. Stop. I didn't do it because I like you. I did it because I think I can beat you." something like that. Which I think was a blow to Mikk.

I loved Tahan trying to lift Mikk's self esteem with the dress issue. That's when I began to like her. Though I also liked how she was always upbeat every time she was sent to the halfway house instead of moping like the others would.

No problem, didn't take offense. I agreed neither way is very nice, just than one does provoke more animosity than the other.
I recently have lost my father, my mother in law and an uncle, all in the last 12 months, so I know where you are coming from, but I also think that jades comment was said in frustration at something that had recently taken place with Tahan (although I don't remember exactly what now), and therefore I myself kind of excused it, however I found Mikkayla's comment about kicking dirt much nastier because at the time it came out of the blue, she had not recently had a confrontation with Tahan, although they had had a stormy relationship up until then. I guess in life we would all be guilty of saying things in the heat of the moment that we regret later and I think this would be one of those!

Well I like her for the reasons you listed. Just pointing out that she does selfless things sometimes.

Very true, anything can be said in the heat! And yes, agree about Mikkayla's responding comment.
And sorry to hear about losing your loved ones. I've lost many loved ones and I think that's why I take personal offence to comments like that.. Because it's never nice for anyone. Hope you're doing okay :)

The easiest way to justify Tahan's actions that night was to look at Heidi, she was bigger than mikkayla and she didn't cry about being overweight, she acknowledged she wasn't skinny and worked hard to lose it and monitored her foods. Whereas mikkayla cried about it all the time as she went in for 2nd's and 3rd's. Tahan picked up on that and obviously blurted it out in anger, she basically said what all the housemates wanted to say (as seen with Tim and Tully saying something).

Hehe, I think the opposite, I took no offense at her comments 1. Because she almost immediately apologized for saying it and 2. Because losing 3 close relatives in a short period of time was far worse than a silly comment, when I'm living thro losing someone, a parent in particular, I just thought "silly girl" if only you knew!

OT we are doing fine, my sister and I took our 83 year old mum to china and Japan 6 months after losing my dad, had a ball and it really bought us all together, dad was with with us in our hearts and minds, and it really helped mum to laugh again and appreciate life, not to mention memories that will last a lifetime. Since then I've had to go thro another 2, but that's life, perhaps I was a bit more steeled I don't know, it's never easy. I don't think I could do your job, I really commend you for that.

Thanks posters for letting me go off topic, sorry for the small hijacking.
