A question about Ed.

Well then maybe he is worried he can't 'perform'?

On a side note, would you have felt he was a player if Jade had come in as a normal housemate and not with the whole Drew couple thing? And if he had hooked up with her in the natural flow of the BB house? And then he had acted the way he is, I might be swayed into thinking he was playing her. But for now I see at as some footy player trying to be nice and not think so much with the downstairs area. It is a game after all and you need to be in it to win it! ( very bad choice of words I know).
Personally I don't think Jade would have any interest in Ed if she came in without the faux marriage - Drew would have swept her off her feet when their friendship developed naturally.

Jade still would definitely had an interest in Ed - she's mentioned several times she likes big guys with muscles.

Drew would have had more of a chance without the marriage, but at the same time, they wouldn't have been friends the way they are now either. They're both on the shyer side - I could see that leading to a very minimal friendship between them without the fake marriage. Had they spoken though, it might have been possible. She automatically saw him as out of the picture once things proceeded there - I think she partly felt he wasn't into her because he wasn't really showing his emotions at all.

Ed is so blah. Maybe he's "mr perfect" for them, but he doesn't do it for me at all. If Matt was single, he'd be more up my alley if Drew wasn't an option.

Ahhhhh very interesting take. I think it would have made Jade a much more likeable housemate, as you can see little tid bits of her and how good she could be if she didn't let herself be talked into a crush. It would have also kept Drew away from Tully which is always a plus! And it many have made Ed a different housemate as well, without all the Prince Charming stuff. I think that has ruined any chance of us seeing the real Ed (either boring/player/all round nice guy).

I just think Jade and Drew connect on a better level...Ed is all about appearance and part of me thinks Jade took interest in Ed to distance herself from Drew, she seemed to struggle with the faux marriage.
Once Ed became wishy washy her insecurities have taken control of her decisions.

Ed's more worried about how he's going to win this show against Tim then Jades love sick puppy act, he's seen right through it and doesn't want to take part. This "he needs to man up" thing goes against his nice guy character he's put on for the show. If he flat out tells her he's not interested (like he would in the real world), he's worried how that will come across to the audience. I don't agree with it but that's how he's playing the game. He's playing hard to win and Jade's just a sideshow and a distraction.

When they first asked Jade what type of guy she went for I thought I remember her saying that Caleb was her type of guy? But then again that could be the mind going on me again. I do think Jade has really talked/let herself be talked into the Ed crush as all the housemates have built him up to be number one. I think she is very comfortable with Drew, they have a good flow but once Tully got her hooks in I think she questions what type of person Drew was as Tully is not the easiest (or most sane) person to get along with.

Maybe it was just a case of them both trying to distance themselves from each other as they wanted to become their own housemates and so went in different directions in order to say 'hey, we are 2 people - not one' but in the end they really did have a nice bond. I think Jade would give up on this Ed thing if Tully goes this week. It won't feel so much as she HAS to be with Ed, and she can just be flirty Jade, which is perfectly fine.

It's silly though because there's at least two other guys playing this part, and three if you count Matt as the muscular dude look.

Nah she also said Caleb would be someone she'd look at too. She basically named all the guys except Drew, lol. Maybe she did it to see if he'd react...

He would be hoping Jade is evicted I reckon. If she is or isnt BB is going to throw another hot intruder in there to entice the boys anyway.

It's clear he wouldn't mind that scenario being his final three, and let the most prettiest meathead win.

Do you blame him? It would be like filming a porno with so many people around you. How on earth are they supposed to relax and enjoy each other's bodies with so many people around them at night!

exactly, he's trying to figure out a way saying to someone "Fcuk off, this is for $250,000" but in a nice guy way.

This is my view on the situation :
Jade cuddles up to Ed - ed rejects her - jade recovers - they share a moment - jade cuddles up - he rejects her - she recovers

Its a huge cycle and I'm starting to not care anymore

Maybe BB could pump in some good old porno music? Set the tone for the evening?

She said Ed was attractive not just because of his body but also because of things he's said about marriage, having a family, etc. She is very much looking for someone like that which is probably why she's having such a hard time letting things go.
