A 30 day Big Brother: how?

So now that we know the number of HMs and weekly schedule overview, what are our thoughts?

If we’re basing it off a 5-week run, there’s gotta be a handful of double and midweek evictions at some point.

I’m also pleased we’re back to six episodes a week - but what time do we think it’ll air? I’m predicting BB takes Deal Or No Deal’s slot, unless they reduce Ten+ which I feel would be a better option but somehow feels unlikely. And are we getting 30min or 1hour Daily Show eps? Part of me is all for reverting back to the snappy half-hour, but we’d also be the only BB in the world today to have such short episodes. So I think an hour is more likely, and gives Ten more flexibility to utilise time for possible live shows where necessary.

Thoughts?

I’m guessing but I’m guessing they’ll likely stick to a consistent 1 hour Monday - Friday and 90 minutes on Sunday. This is based on the fact that both the live nominations and eviction shows will be integrated with the daily show.

A complete 6 week run would have the finale on December 21st. Ideally double evictions would be saved for the final weeks.

I have two different scenarios that are both based on having 3 HM’s in the finale, two double evictions, with live shows on Wednesday and Sunday:

Scenario 1:
November 9th - Premier Night
November 16th - 1st Eviction
November 23rd - 2nd Eviction
November 30th - 3rd Eviction
December 7th - 4th Eviction
December 10th - First Double (5th & 6th Eviction)
December 14th - Second Double (7th & 8th Eviction)
Lines for the finale open. Public are voting for the winner.
December 17th - 9th Eviction (lowest votes to win)
December 21st - Finale Night

Scenario 2:
November 9th - Premier Night
November 16th - 1st Eviction
November 23rd - 2nd Eviction
November 30th - 3rd Eviction
December 7th - 4th Eviction
December 10th - 5th Eviction
December 14th - First Double (6th & 7th Eviction)
December 17th - Second Double (8th & 9th Eviction)
Lines for the finale open. Public are voting for winner.
December 21st - Finale Night

Yes - 7.30pm seems more likely. We also know the series is over prior to the 13th December - so I think it'll wrap on the Monday or Tuesday before, so basically 4 Sundays for the evictions then the final.

I would predict 2 single evictions and 2 doubles on the Sundays, then an extra live double eviction in the final week. Hopefully with them pushing the live element they won't do any backdoor evictions.

As per another thread, tickets for the first three shows hosted at Dreamworld have become available.

This confirms a pre-recorded Launch on the Saturday, as expected.

There’s a live special on the Monday, following Sunday’s premiere on TV. But interestingly our first live Nominations show is scheduled just two days later on Wednesday. Again, a reduced schedule was to be expected - this only confirms that. It means our first Eviction will most likely take place the following Sunday, which is a week earlier than the OG days that they keep going on about…

So discussion in the house seems to point to the finale being on Thu Dec 11, taking us to day 33.

Likely the first 4 weeks will play out with weekly evictions, though with at least one being a double. Will almost certainly be an extra live eviction show in those three days before the final, probably instead of nominations. Just hope they avoid any 'backdoor" evictions but suspect they'll find it hard to resist that "twist".

A 33 day run is pitiful. I pray this changes next year.

Surely they're not doing Intruders but yes, if they do only one should stay. Or three head to heads against current HMs for their place in the house.

According to Jane yesterday, she seems to believe there’s 3 weeks and 3 days left, as of today. Of-course she could have her days completely confused (she has said incorrect info regarding what day it is a few times now), but if we use this as a guide it would wrap the series on either Monday 8th or Tuesday 9th. This sounds more likely than a Thursday finale for Australia.

Though, I do hope it’s true they’ve decided to extend.

Something else of note. According to today's live stream, HMs have apparently been told to not talk about certain topics today and to actively avoid drama/anything noteworthy on Saturdays as it's an "off day" (it also seems like it's Pete's day off, as we've heard a female producer communicatig to the HMs so far).

They've apparently been informed that content from Saturdays are not intended to feature on the show, and only the live stream will continue to run today.

I remember housemates on Seven seasons talking about a rest day, its probably an OHS&W clause baked into crew and contestant contracts.

Basically the same way Love Island is run then, Saturdays are a chill day off for them where they do nothing and just watch movies all day.

10 Executive Producer Sarah Thornton's vague answer about how many weeks the show would run gives me hope that if the ratings hold up they will spin it out a week or two longer. (It won't be ratings season any more but data still gets recorded and can be used to entice future sponsors.)
