2014 House...

well then what would all the black poles be for? They weren't there last season...

but that's ok, ill be the one laughing when Alex turns the tap :penguin::eek:

More delusions I'm afraid. :p

They've always been there, they're for lights/speakers/overhead cabling.

Can't wait to see the diary room and the diary room chair :D

Same I think that's what I'm looking forward to the most. Any theory's on what style the chair will be from looking at the house pictures?
I'm guessing some sort of throne or it will be in an ancient Greek/Rome style.

I actually submitted my application and said that the chair and diary room is like the heart of the house and that i cant wait to see the chair.

Interesting! Is it a bit strange that the winner's +1 needs to specifically be someone of the 'opposite gender'?

Wonder if there's any link with the Ark theme there, and what (if any) inside info they'll get...

I think they generally take in an even split of actors so that the camera crew can get a feel for filming the new house. It's also to do with mics and stuff. Pretty sure last year it was 4 guys, 4 girls - so they've probably just reserved two spots this year for the winners of this competition...

Ahh. Yeah, that actually makes more sense (don't mind me and my speculation-overdrive. Ha). Good insight into how these thing work, thanks!

I really wish that they had covered the pool and revealed one of the other hidden ones because even though the backyard obviously looks different to 2012 and 2013, it still feels horribly familiar and is probably going to create a sense of "same old, same old" when the show is airing. Same pool (with the same circle thing), same location/size for the kitchen, (likely) same area for seating/gym, same garden along a quarter of the total backyard walls for the third year running...

Is it just me that sees this as a bad thing?

Yeah, it was. Here they are:

I felt the same way last year but after a while I was just like, "Hey, they have made it better and it does look good so I don't mind it so much now." Hopefully I will feel the same this year! :)

You can expect some elements to carry over to a second season (case in point 2003/2004) - but if they keep doing it year after year, every time it's going to take a little bit longer to reach the point of "I don't mind it so much now", you'll mind it a little bit more each time too and it just starts to come off as just lazy, especially when their budget increased greatly this year...

Yeah. Honestly am soooooooooooooooooooo sick of the kitchen being in the same place and I'm not liking the same pool every year. Everything else though, I think it was because they blended it in so well &/or improved it so much that gave me the "I don't mind it so much now" feeling. But I do agree, it is starting to come off as just lazy!

Why are you all complaining?

The pool practically stayed in the exact same spot for 4 years between 2005 and 2008. What's the big deal now?

I think you will find the kitchen has moved back into the main house this year. I would expect that outdoor bit to now be a bedroom as from the aerials it seems to have been extended. ;)

Re: the pool:
I agree. its like the only thing that's lasted all 3 seasons. Hopefully this year they have put some cool LED's in the walls and base of it to make the pool change colour. That would be really cool, kinda like in 2007 how the glass in the Lounge would change colour.
