More delusions I'm afraid.
They've always been there, they're for lights/speakers/overhead cabling.

Can't wait to see the diary room and the diary room chair![]()
The house must almost be finished. There's a comp to stay in the house for two nights from this Sunday!

Interesting! Is it a bit strange that the winner's +1 needs to specifically be someone of the 'opposite gender'?
Wonder if there's any link with the Ark theme there, and what (if any) inside info they'll get...
I think they generally take in an even split of actors so that the camera crew can get a feel for filming the new house. It's also to do with mics and stuff. Pretty sure last year it was 4 guys, 4 girls - so they've probably just reserved two spots this year for the winners of this competition...

I felt the same way last year but after a while I was just like, "Hey, they have made it better and it does look good so I don't mind it so much now." Hopefully I will feel the same this year!I really wish that they had covered the pool and revealed one of the other hidden ones because even though the backyard obviously looks different to 2012 and 2013, it still feels horribly familiar and is probably going to create a sense of "same old, same old" when the show is airing. Same pool (with the same circle thing), same location/size for the kitchen, (likely) same area for seating/gym, same garden along a quarter of the total backyard walls for the third year running...
Is it just me that sees this as a bad thing?
You can expect some elements to carry over to a second season (case in point 2003/2004) - but if they keep doing it year after year, every time it's going to take a little bit longer to reach the point of "I don't mind it so much now", you'll mind it a little bit more each time too and it just starts to come off as just lazy, especially when their budget increased greatly this year...I felt the same way last year but after a while I was just like, "Hey, they have made it better and it does look good so I don't mind it so much now." Yeah. Honestly am soooooooooooooooooooo sick of the kitchen being in the same place and I'm not liking the same pool every year. Everything else though, I think it was because they blended it in so well &/or improved it so much that gave me the "I don't mind it so much now" feeling. But I do agree, it is starting to come off as just lazy! You can expect some elements to carry over to a second season (case in point 2003/2004) - but if they keep doing it year after year, every time it's going to take a little bit longer to reach the point of "I don't mind it so much now", you'll mind it a little bit more each time too and it just starts to come off as just lazy, especially when their budget increased greatly this year...
