2014 House...

am i the only one who can't see the greek arena ur talking about?
I think it's more the look and feel of it. So far the arches, the colouring and the design of the walls (particularly where the entrance to the house is/where the staircase is) all resemble an old style Ancient Rome/Greece arena.

the bit with the arches up on the orange wall has me intrigued, looks like its going to be more than decoration.

also the foldback stairs in the secret area were on the plans too, they definitely link.

I think im gonna need to find my snorkel...

I was just examining the same area...

I was looking at the spot depicted above. There are definite stairs that appear to go "behind the scenes" directly behind the secret room, but I can't work out if they might just be used as an exit for eviction nights (as an area that we, as the viewers, won't get to see) or if it will just be used by crew traveling to/from the camera runs upstairs.

At first I thought they may be leading into another portion of that secret area (especially because the wall is painted blue-ish) but then you can see another wall in the same room painted red. Therefore, I'm guessing these may be left over extensions from the Garden Of Eden, and the fact that this small area also looks quite "industrial" makes me more inclined to think that this section will be completely hidden from us. You can see that it also backs onto the outdoor exit (the exterior red wall where that white marquee currently is), so maybe one side of the interior staircase will indeed lead to an exit that the HM's will be escorted through.

yeah i agree, definitely looking more like a backstage area than a HM area, and looking at the new raised roof bit over the stairs, it links in directly to the stairs next to the laundry, so pretty sure its gonna be the entry/exit passage

The area you are looking at, is for crew to enter above it all for Camera's. Your thinking to much into it.

Releasing the Pictures of the House, doesn't really release much information about the Season. It just builds the excitement.

We don't know what the rooms look like. It doesn't explain the Cubby House and how HM's can access it. It doesn't explain much at all.

It just gives us things to speculate on.

Until the Launch we will continue to guess.

Work is well underway on the new Big Brother house ahead of the upcoming season of the Channel Nine reality show, and Daily Mail Australia can reveal the first look at the residence.

Located on Queensland’s Gold Coast just outside of the Dreamworld theme park, the dwelling which is inhabited by the Big Brother housemates every year, has undergone an extensive renovation, which looks to include an elevated living space and a second, possibly secret pool.

In the expansive backyard a new pool has been constructed, a significantly bigger swimming hole than last year’s housemates enjoyed.

Secret pool? Separate to the main pool in the expansive backyard is a smaller, secondary swimming spot tucked away from plain sight inside a walled area

Added to that is a second, smaller pool tucked away in a walled area.

More...Another new addition is what looks like a treehouse perched up on top of the garden wall, looking out over the backyard.

In April, a Channel Nine publicist told Daily Mail Australia the Big Brother abode wouldn't just be building out but ‘building up’, and indeed it looks like the housemates will be treated to an upstairs living area.

Going up: As part of the renovations on the existing Big Brother residence, it appears a second level has been added to the home, giving this year's housemates more space than any season before them

Fast work: The residence the season 11 contestants will call home is being completely transformed, with builders working around the clock to complete it in time

A new elevated space is visible from the outside, indicating the contestants will have more room than any other season before them.

Construction debris is littered around the property as builders continue working away to get the house ready for Big Brother’s 11th season, which will air in the coming months.

Viewers of Big Brother 2013 will recognise the area with palm trees and blue-coloured floor as the old showdown arena, meanwhile the green area was the Garden of Eden.

The peach painted area once contained the gym, loungeroom and bedrooms.

All new: The expansive garden has been grown even further to accomodate whatever plans Big Brother has in store for the housemates this year

Open plan: A variety of different living areas will allow plenty of room for drama to unfold among the brand new housemates

Anticipation is building for the new season after Channel Nine aired a cryptic and suspense-filled first promo on Thursday with host Sonia Kruger.

Following the theme of Noah's Ark, Sonia appears to be playing a God-like character.

The scene opens with the blonde orchestrating a cyclone-like storm as she encourages housemates onto a giant wooden boat.

Wearing a billowing Grecian dress with a cinched in black leather girdle, Sonia oversees the entry as what appear to be couples clamber onto the Ark.

It's huge! This year's contestants will no doubt be eager to make the most of the large swimming pool

Tucked away: The Big Brother house (bottom left) is situated just outside the Dreamworld theme park on the Gold Coast in Queensland

The would-be housemates in the promo are seen going into the wooden structure two-by-two, as the famous Big Brother voice bellows from the clouds: 'This is Big Brother, a new breed of housemates has been chosen.'

Sonia, giant staff in hand, then bangs her cloud from where she is watching on high and says: 'A storm is brewing... on the inside'.

Sonia has hosted the show since 2012 and will continue her duties this year.

It's all looking very good - they seem to have gone to much more effort with the backyard than previously. They've never really bothered too much with designing it before - it's just been functional and there to look nice enough, but no hiding it's just bolted onto a shed in Dreamworld.
