Wahoo!
One of the original Big Brother eyes is missing from the roof...
And man, how much bigger would the backyard feel if the two pointless diagonal walls in the two lower corners weren't there? But I suppose it makes filming easier since they don't have visible cameras anymore (and haven't since the backyard started to have weird shapes).

God iv never really noticed how small it is,
And the layout just looks stupid from above
Hopefully they are doing a lot of work on the inside

well the one on the right is the gym area, ant the one on the left was the laundry area
you can thank 10 years of adding extra rooms that were never considered in the original plansAnd the layout just looks stupid from above

What would it achieve, other than a differently shaped building? We've had had nine houses with completely different looks, so it's not preventing them from doing whatever they want to the house or backyard. Sure the additions that weren't there in 2001 look a little awkward when you look at it from above, but it's not like it's a house that they'll put on the market and sell when the series is finished. It makes sense for them just to completely flaten the house and rebuild... doesn't it?
It's a television set and it still serves it's purpose fine.

Well they never thought that it would last as long as it has.
It's pretty cool to think of what they have done over the years.
I would love to see the exit door go back into the house again

i actually agree with you, theres some pretty big flaws with the current shell and the extensions (like how the HM have to go out of camera view to get to the GoE and Rewards room and actually have to go through the camera run) the whole shell is old and wasn't built to last this long, and the whole thing is in a bloody swamp that floods. So yeah, theres a lot of reasons to rebuild it (and in a different location) but it all comes down to money that 9 doesnt want to spend on it, and after all its still functional and does its job...
Yeah the time to rebuild it would have been when 9 first took it over. With BB always on the verge of being cancelled each season it's probably not the smartest investment now unless they commit to the show for a good few seasons. Not to mention the location will have to move eventually due to the Coomera town centre but even that's on the table then off again.
All that being said it could really use a fresh start.

True true, I agree. Just I doubt Channel 9 or Endermol (Who ever pays for the construction) would demolish it and build somewhere else because it would be too costworthy
I'd be nice though

Remember when everyone first thought that with channel Nine taking over BB and the fact that the Nine network is networked to Warner Brothers content.
And with the on again, off again discussion surrounding the Coomera Town Center project, that most of us had assumptions of the BB House moving up the road a bit, into one of the Warner Bros Movieworld Studio sheds.

The first stage of the town centre has been approved as at March 2014. But I don't think stage 1 will affect the BB house, though. It looks like stage 1 only involves construction on the opposite side of Foxwell Road to Dreamworld owned land, if the site plan & render attached below is true and up to date with what has been approved. Given the eventual teardown of the house in its current location (when further CTC stages are approved) I'd say this would avoid a complete compound rebuild happening - it would be wasted money if they only had to do it all over again in a brand new location when the rest of the CTC gets going.

and to be perfectly reasonable, BB in Australia probably isn't going to last that long that it'd be a problem anyway...
and not to forget the rumour/idea that they were going to move the house into fox studios![]()

Man, it is gunna be SO WEIRD when this is built! And yeah as long as it stays on the other side of foxwell, it should't ever be a problem. The first stage of the town centre has been approved as at March 2014. Bucking the system
The southern side of Foxwell will be developed, but there will be a large section of public open-space and a pedestrian boulevard running north/south just to the east of the house. At least that's what the 2010 plan shows.
Here is part of that plan overlaid onto a satellite image showing the house and auditorium:
