‘Big Brother: Secrets & Lies’

^lol trilogy of tedium.

I hate potplants the most so I'm pleased also. I just got it watched and was cackling to myself about it. Sophie saying to Gina at the end about beds and something about "yeah cos when I come back next week" I near wet my pants with laughter.

What were the chants to get someone out at the end after Jackie's interview? Callum? I don't much like him but only because I think he's trying to ride to the final and sometimes his facade slips. I don't think he's horrid but nor is he very entertaining.

As unbelievable as it sounds, I thought I heard, "GET SOPHIE OUT!" at the end after Jackie's interview.

Is it too late to replace Daley with a new housemate now?

I dont see Daley being replaced, they can just change the double eviction planned later to be a single, I hate the late entry/intruder angle, these guys never win, dont change dynamics a hell of a lot, and never last......

"Dance like there's nobody watching" (old quote).

Bless Callum - he did just that. Even Sam left him to it in the end.

Wow.. I've been watching this as well as the last celeb bb (wanted to see what Toadie/Ryan Maloney was like on it) and still find it a little strange they have smoking there. It almost seems like you're the odd one out if you dont smoke. Wonder why the UK isn't so against it? Also bit surprising to have them just have two people up for eviction at times instead of minimum three.

Anyway I only really tuned into this latest series when I heard someone got kicked out so wanted to see why, and it isn't a bad series. I somewhat pretty much like them all. Have a little trouble understanding Sam at times though, and Hazel reminds me of a brunette Olivia Wilde. Pretty shocking that they have BB straight out lying to them though, about this weeks eviction. Thinking some are immune, yet they're the ones nominated! That's just harsh. You usually trust that Big Brother is relatively honest with you. Have some worrying all week wishing they could be in the safe house, yet they'll be relieved once they find out the truth and others will be wishing they never went in.

Why have they stuck with evict votes though? That's gonna lose them their characters I would think while those that people don't care much about end up staying. I guess you could say it doesn't matter so much when only two are up, but when it gets to be more than that (as this week with three and last week with five or however many) it can be troublesome.

For example I think Dan would be safe in the save vote as he's a strong character and Sophie or Sam might go, but could be the reverse in the evict as people don't think Sam or Sophie have done anything controversial to vote to kick them out, and so those who get any emotions get targeted instead. So I'm kinda unsure how this eviction will go, maybe UK thinks differently.

Onto something I hope BB Australia does is 2 hour or so live feeds on TV every night! It's like uplate just without a host/Mike Goldman. That was how it was when uplate first appeared in Australia, and Mike popped up a week or so into it. So I'm hoping that comes back here, with a host or not. They also have Bit on the side. We've had various spin off shows in Australia but they're not like on every night. Would be good if they could do something like that here, at least a bit more often.

Allowing smoking gives them another possibility for conflict, spending a portion of the shopping budget on something only some of them want.

BB has used secrets and lies to rig this week's nominees, knowing they would not put Gina and Dexter into the safe house, and would probably put in the 'nice' ones, which of course they did. It's blatant manipulation by producers, but I'm not complaining. Sophie and Sam are not very interesting.

I don't think you can say they rigged this one. They had no idea who would have been picked to go into the Safe House. And it's not like they announced the Lie twist after they were chosen for the Safe House.

Maybe I'm just accustomed to BBUSA, but I really don't think anything is rigged. Edited in a certain way? Of course. Ideas given in the Diary Room? Sure! But I don't think producers of any Big Brother (or at least the ones that I watch) pick a winner day 1 and do everything they can to make sure they win. Besides the backlash that would happen if they did and were found out, I just honestly think they don't care as long as the show is entertaining and has viewers.

So this week's vote - I'm hoping Sam goes. Nice guy, but hasn't brought much to the show this summer. Sophie hasn't brought much either, but I think she has a bigger character. And while Dan can be annoying at times, I think he needs to be there until this whole stupid love triangle thing dies down.

Here's hoping the British public aren't stupid enough to vote out one of the bigger characters this week. I really don't understand why anybody hates Dan - he never did that much to offend in the first couple of weeks besides a bit of whining, and he's really become much much more likeable in recent weeks. Sam or Sophie are the most expendable, but this is a pretty dumb twist.

I'm hoping that one nominee will be saved on Wednesday, because that will mean that either Sam or Sophie will be saved, and then with only 2 nominees remaining, viewers can vote to evict Sam or Sophie, whichever one is still facing possible eviction and Dan may be safe.

I don't know if they're doing the save on Wednesday though because they might want to reveal the twist to the housemates last minute.

Yeah I don't think they will reveal the truth until the eviction show.

Bookies have Dan to go, unfortunately.

Something else that irritates me a little is that as well as the smoking thing, it seems like either the UK is just more rude about certain things or that BB actually encourages it. It seems nearly every evictee gets booed? Even some of those on the first night before they've gone in get booed!

Then there's something with this weeks task for people to vote on things like who is the most envious, or who is the biggest snake, etc and the housemates have to guess what the public voted. Not only is that feeding them some outside info ( which i thought theyre supposed to be shielded from) but its also pretty harsh! Hazel for some reason got voted as the biggest snake, but everything I've so far seen is that she's probably one of the nicest in there! Is it a case of some just wanting to try and hurt girls who are thought to be pretty?

As for the smoking I think it's stupid to try and hide something that like it or not a lot of people still engage in... Especially when BBUK is a show aimed at adults and it was originally intended as a social experiment... The smoking ban really only makes sense in Australia given that BB has aired in a "family" time-slot...

That being said the UK were late to adopt smoking bans and while I'm not sure of the exact laws in place I believe they are still relatively lax...

This is getting SO VERY DULL now. The only good thing about this series is Gina and that thing on her head.

Hopefully that repulsive, orange gay will leave this week. Callum kind of reminds me of a skeleton.

Oh and who is Dexter kidding! And Charlie! 27? Was she born under the sign of STRUGGLE? I'm so glad Jackie is gone, I don't think I could take another bingo wing-tastic dance routine.

I can't believe they just had them position themselves in what the public supposedly voted for them as the winner? Is BBUK just so over massively different that it doesn't care what sorts of feedback and influence they get from the outside world?

This is supposedly the order what those who voted for the winner want:

Gina
Sam
Dexter
Sophie
Dan
Charlie
Jack and Joe
Callum
Hazel

If it's true, then that's just crazy stuff and allows for massive gameplaying and strategy in there if anyone wanted to do it.

I also find that if the list was reversed that would almost be my faves in order. I've really been interested in watching the shows and live feeds to see the stuff and convos that go on between Hazel, Callum and Charlie. Twins were amusing the other night when they were getting themselves on Hazel too.

Don't really understand the fascination with Gina, and then having Hazel on the bottom. I think Gina is my least fave female whilst Hazel is my fave. Hazel just seems really nice, and has a cool accent. Not sure what others are seeing that I'm not, or what I'm seeing that others aren't.

Sam? Really?

I'm not sure how that works in the long run though because just the other week Sophie bookie odds had her least likely to win.

You hit the nail on the head. Hazel, Charlie and Sam are the ones who have not been bitching and hardly been talking behind other's backs.
But it all makes sense when looking at the sea of middle-aged, unattractive looking women at the eviction shows. They envy nice looking, young girls and it seems well, simply hate them.

The real "Snake" is and has been from day one: Dan.

I am back and will be watching the Aussie version from monday night. I don't know if Gina is copying Nikki as I haven't been watching it. As a matter of interest Nikki is now doing live theatre in a show called Up4ameet.
