I have just finished watching all 3 movies for the first time... Forced myself
to watch the first one without interruption.... Second one, and third one....
What a let down.....
This could have been so much more but the story seemed all over the
shop and dazzling special effects do not a good movie make.

I had to sit through the Golden Compass and Mr Magoriums Wonder Emporium last night. Daylight savings is not compatible with drive ins. The first 10 minutes were unwatchable because it was still too light to see the movie on the screen(It started at 8.30pm) and Mr Magorium was beyound annoying at 12.45am.

Or do you mean annoying as in an annoying movie. I didn't mind Mr.
Magorium but did find it could have been 15 to 20 mins shorter...
Sad ending tho.

'Cloverfield' opens in cinemas in Australia on Jan 17. Basically, it's created a bit of a phenomenon online because its original introduction to the world was a teaser trailer which played before Transformers; it was simply titled '1-18-08. The whole thing was filmed to look like it was filmed by a handycam, ala, 'Blair Witch Project'. The teaser rocked everyone's world, and caused them all to speculate what in hell they just all saw. It's a monster movie. And noone yet knows what the monster looks like. And, J.J. Abrams ('Lost' and 'Alias') is also the creator. I for one cannot freakin' wait for this movie, though my expectations aren't completely over-the-top soaring high like some people's... I could very well be let down.

^ Type the word youtubevid and put it in square brackets, then /youtubevid in square brackets. Copy/paste the numbers and letters after the = sign at the end of the youtube URL between them.

I think....but apparently there was a few that were being looked at.
It's probably going to be a predictable horror film but the actors aren't big names which gathers interest..
Also gamers,there is going to be a movie adaptation of 'Halo' out in a few years.

What do you know? I searched for an article myself, and found it to be over a year old. Certainly doesn't feel that long since I last read it. Reading this, I think it's very apparent that we won't be seeing this for quite some time. If it does get made, I speculate 2010/2012 at earliest.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I read a bit on the web that Halo started life
as a game for the MAC but Microsoft bought out the company rejigged the
game for the X Box and then redid the game later for the MAC market....
The helmets in Halo also look like they started life in Airwolf

Wow.. I seen the trailer and thought it looked good and I deliberately didn't read anything including spoilers about it so I went with an open mind and was I blown away! It was quite a depressing film but it was also scary! I wasn't scared but I could see how it would be to other people, esp young kids..
And there were a few thing in the movie I didn't like, which I wont say cause I don't want to spoil it but you will know when you see it.

You're half correct CLE; it was originally conceived and presented to the public as a Windows and MAC game, and then reconceived for the XBOX, at which it was subsequently later converted to be played on the original intended platforms. To think... it had its beginnings nearly ten years ago - time sure has gone fast.

I've no idea why the studios would want to defile the "Alien" franchise in this way. Oh that's right, money I guess. Anyway, I guess we can always re-watch the first 3 films (especially the first two).
