Episode Day 30 Finale Show - 8/12/2025

They really need to try harder to push the illusion they're in a house not on a TV show set. Even with mirrors on every wall they got much more authentic action from the HMs. The live action TV screen all day... just stop it. They were all mimicking each other's video clips for fun at one point. FFS.

It was just so glaring on the live shows, like chalk and cheese compared to the old era. They used to be slick, polished live events, which you can tell were being produced by seasoned professionals. This new season's live shows were chaotic, with awkward silences and gaps where they seemed to have no idea which camera to cut to or what was going on at all. Whoever was directing Mel should be fired. What an embarrassing shitshow the lives were. IF YOU'RE READING THIS PLEASE CONSIDER A CHANGE OF CAREER IMMEDIATELY.

Because creating and delivering live television of any kind is a very demanding job.

In regards to pete, I would beleive it that he is leaving. Essentially he was there when the housemates woke up and went to bed and only had a saturday off. They didn't seem to follow the previous seasons where they had 3 different big brothers rotating. They just had Pete and the female produce fill in the gaps before Pete arrived in the morning.
I'm assuming its again because they didn't want to spend the money bringing in more crew perhaps

I don't think anyone doubts that. But they were so much more capable of delivering it 20 years ago than they are now.

Once they announced Bogano won, I turned it off. Not because I was upset at the result, because I didn't want to torture myself by watching her & her bogan family take over the stage.

Why is there so much hate against bogans here? Bogans/Tradesman/Lower middle class people are a key BB viewing and participant demographic.

add to that do they really need the screen to be that gigantic, plus divided it led to some weird issues like peoples face split across two screens. Channel 7 managed one big panel but who knows if some of that was also editing magic overlaying whatever they wanted over what was actually shown with so much time until airing iykwim. It could afford to be scaled down a smidge perhaps.

It wasn’t just the stream. The second voice (Grant) was featured at least once in almost every single Daily Show, too. Grant sounded similar to Pete, but it’s still noticable when it wasn’t Pete.

Do we think this photo was taken before or after the finale? If before, I assume they took five photos, each with a different finalist in the middle, so they wouldn't be tipped off that Coco was about to win, right?

Well, here's the thing. Pete Cunningham wasn't supposed to be the main BB this year. He was likely to be a deputy, much like he was years ago, for Leon Murray. But production got rid of Leon because his demands were too much for the network to consider, so they had to race around at the last minute. Therefore, Pete was chosen as main BB. If Pete isn't back next year, either one of two things happens. One - Grant Phillips is main BB next year, or two - they hire a brand new BB. They are not going back to Leon because otherwise, the budget (or lack thereof) would be blown to smithereens, and I don't believe either Peter Abbott or Nick Colquhoun are in the industry anymore.

The photo session took place about half an hour before the Finale started airing on TV. The single shots were taken first (those are the photos they used on social media to announce each finalist's eviction) then called them in as a group for that photo you've posted.

6:32pm - HMs are being called to the diary room one by one for something. Coco, who just emerged, mentions "I never want to see those photos ever again". Seems BB might be showing them memories from the house(?) or taking their photos.

Emily is called next, she's scared. "Break a leg" the other housemates tell her.

Oh yeah I remember that. Strange if they took the photos and then showed them though, if that's what happened.

It seems we finally have some insight into the crew who put the live shows together this year… they’re literally a bunch of kids.

I mean if that is true that it was all young people working on big brother, they didn’t do a horrible job if you take out of consideration that the show is big brother. The problem is the show is big brother lol.

Im going to remain hopeful though that they will get a more experienced team next year or at the very least a few experienced crew over different areas who can oversee the operations assuming they’ll have a bigger budget.

I’m not mad about Pete leaving, however I wouldn’t mind him as a secondary voice as sassy big brother was quite funny at times. Primary voice should be a lot more sinister and authoritative though.
