Well I wouldn’t say she has abandoned them! I assume they are with various loving relatives probably including their father, if anything her making this sacrifice makes her more deserving, not less.

As a cat mum, I can only stay a maximum of 2 nights away from my cat. That's the kind of sacrifice I make as a mother - limiting my holidays... but that's just me. What about your kitty?
 
We've already had plenty of Coco-type winners in the past using 2 to 3 of the same winning formula… - Has a sob story, Anglo ethnicity, Water birth sign. So it would be pretty predictable and disappointing if she wins.

Colin winning would at least break the usual "winner" mold of this show… - He's not a wallflower, he's of Greek/Southern European background, he's a Fire birth sign.
Australia seems to only vote for Anglo housemates (like Coco) to win out of the 13 Caucasian winners of this entire series. Whereas ethnically Southern-European housemates like Sara-Marie (Italian) and Vesna (Macedonian) have been robbed time and time again and never won a single season.

In the 2001-2014 OG social format, not a single Fire birth sign housemate like Colin has won the series. Only Bree Amer came close at 2nd place. So Colin winning would at least not be the same predictable drivel we see time and time again.

Sacrifice can take many forms and typically mothers will fill their cup very sporadically so they can drain it again, she deserves a break. But the sacrifice here is time away from her children.

Nah...it would be a sacrifice if she was doing something substantial with her time. Going on a reality tv show isn't it. Sure she will miss them and I definitely don't judge her for doing the show. But calling it a sacrifice is really not it.
