What did Bruce and Alana argue about yesterday?
Secret challenge to steal items, one of them was alana's bottle. They tried a few things to get her to leave her water bottle. Bruce came up with an idea to get into an argument and distract her so Colin could get the bottle. She still held the bottle and wouldnt put it down. So he escalated it just grasping at straws that he knew would get her going, some of the things were actual stuff he had issue with, some were just made up rubbish. One of the things that hurt alana was Bruce saying she is using her education and degree as social worker to try and argue with housemates and win the arguments

Agree- to dismiss seeing the world and all you can experience- what a waste- of opportunity and broadening the mind. I never wanted to travel when younger- then became obsessed with a musical group and a singer and made overseas friends in fan groups. Was my impetus to travel and I've been to some amazing places. No regrets at all.
It depends, when i go to Paris I want to avoid tourist traps like the Eiffel tower and the louvre with hordes of tourists.

I’d rather spend my time exploring neighbourhoods on foot, soaking up the local culture in restaurants, bars, galleries and shops.

Is that what he was saying, or trying to say?

Thank you

That sounds like a fair cop to me! She was often going into social worker mode in her 'discussions'.

Just turned into this conversation of Ed, Bruce and Coner talking about just liking to hang out with people and not sight seeing. Not visiting tourist sights.

Very odd. The mentality of you go to Paris look at the Eiffle Tower have no interest and go, "what next?" No interest in history, culture, beauty or anything. I cannot relate at all to this. I get the importance of time with people, but travelling, seeing the world. History. Cultures. The beauty of nature, wilfe life and so much more has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. All done while being social and spending time with amazing people from all over the world.

Just makes Ed and the others seem low intelligence and completely incurious.
Culture for people like Ed is Bunnings sausage sizzle. People like him will only ever find curiosity in property price speculation. The ones remaining are all the same.

That's why they were so threatened by Holly.

I mean yeah she does but that doesn't sound like a negative to me?

He just sounds jealous and inadequate.

I don't know- I didn't hear the conversation- but I got the gist that he pretty much didn't see the point of going anywhere.
I agree re tourist hordes. Been to Paris 4 times and was close to the Eiffel Tower once- because it was near a theatre we were going to. My Englisch Francophile friend had an aversion to water- so the one time I was there by myself- I went up and down the Seine a couple of times on the Bateau- that went past so many landmarks. Also did a canal trip to the outskirts.

He was saying he basically just wants to hang out, party etc and he can do the exact same thing in Australia. He didn’t seem interested in exploring anywhere is what I gathered and not just because it’s a crowded tourist thing. He would get no joy out of seeing a waterfall for example.

No point in him going to Iceland then.... :)
