Reddit production tea

This is just so sad. There was so much potential going into this revival. Is it too much to ask that we have Big Brother being made instead of a Love Island clone? It’s the same situation as the run on 7. If we wanted to watch Survivor, we’d watch Survivor and now this season, if we wanted to watch Love Island, we’d watch Love Island. Big Brother is so unique compared to the other reality shows. I will never understand why they never seem to embrace that.

I feel for the crew having to work through this shit show. There are some people genuinely there fighting for the OG. I think that “boss” needs to be moved on.

We are never going to get a proper Big Brother done again ever, are we? Some kind of shit always gets pulled. 😭

I say we should try to get Holly out as soon as we can.

These other shows should be taking inspiration from Big Brother, not the other way around. Big Brother is the benchmark.

Big brother set the stage. Other shows copied and adjusted. BB now is just copying the copy. It’s like photocopying and photocopy the same photocopy over and over. The product just starts looking like shit. And this is what we have here.

If producers are reading this, truly go back to OG. Don’t fake it. We do not want love island 2.0 or survivor 2.0 or ITV BB lite or Temu big brother. We want what you guys produced so well back during the original run. That’s what you sold to us. That’s what we want.
 
I remember a disgruntled production member who posted for a bit here when the show was on Channel 7 (S12 or S13). Must be a crappy work environment to work in if they keep on leaking this stuff.
 
Who do we write our open letter to? Sarah Thornton? I feel that we, as long-term Big Brother fans, need to get our voice heard. That this is not the Big Brother we were sold, or that we want. Love Island and MAFS exist, and it's great that they exist, but the production needs to remember the pre-season marketing. "The show that inspired Love Island", read one promo, if I recall. Then don't produce Love Island 2.0. You have eight years' worth of re-digitised masters (for the most part) sitting there on your YouTube channel. Take notes. Acknowledge that it's 25 years later, but you had a format that worked, use it. If the OG is back, prove it.
 
On the feeds right now, most of the housemates were sincerely saying they haven't seen Holly at all today. I didn't detect any sarcasm or jokes. They spoke like it wasn't out of the ordinary.

If she's disappearing for extended periods, sounds like she's actually leaving the house and coming back.

I would not be shocked if she is in the Diary Room on her phone. Would they favour her that much? I could see it.

There was a previous time last week where she wasn't spotted on the feed for hours and we weren't sure if she had walked. BB was probably offering her various bribes to keep her in, the way things are turning out.

Housemates leaving the house (and using their phone) goes against everything Big Brother is about. It’s too far if that has happened.

I don’t believe it.. especially if they are only and mainly repeating stuff that has been voiced elsewhere… or seem to have knowledge from multiple parts of production that you wouldn’t expect from somebody that is from a lower level.

It’s like that Twitter account that pretended to be a producer on the UK show. He said what people wanted to hear and that’s why many people believed him initially. When he finally got called out, he became a whacko.

What the Reddit guy (and the Twitter one) wants to achieve? Getting attention. It happens all the time with everything. I’ve been on a forum before where somebody claimed to work for Nickelodeon. Half the world’s uncles work backstage for some artists.

I might believe him if the two intruders "on standby" go in next week.
