Audition videos are now live on YouTube

I think it gives us viewers a small glimpse and insight into just how much crap they have to sift through to find decent housemates. Brock is the one that stood out to me the most. I could see him being someone from this forum in terms of his love for bb.

Okay so this kinda confirmed. I think they’ll upload like 2 batches and give the public the feeling they’re voting the house mates in but it will be like 2 people as intruders or something

Not a bad assumption honestly. I also don't think they want people's mates trying to promote them in the comment threads.

Based on their wording it looks like they'll upload more applications on multiple Mondays and Thursdays 🤔

But watching these definitely make me feel like so many are chronically online because they seem to speak the same tiktok slang/accent/slay/queen lingo. I'm guilty of typing like this sometimes though so I can't really talk lol 😅

I actually really hope that none of these end up being cast. Not because I have anything against any of them… but other HM’s should not have been able to watch the audition video of someone they are in the house with.
I can’t remember who, but one of the first girls I watched mentioned that everyone thinks she’s nice and sweet but is actually very intelligent (or something along those lines) and is going to use that to her advantage. Well that strategy is automatically broken if someone else in the house has watched her vid.

I’m not sure… I feel like it takes away a bit of the magic. Part of the fun before was the surprise of seeing who they’d picked. I like that they’re involving the public now, but there was something exciting about those first introductions being a complete mystery.
I agree … but also HEY DANNY!!!!

Since they're posting these while applications are open, videos they get now are going to have some people shouting out their names on insta etc and just use this to gain followers. :(

I wouldn’t be surprised if this is all just a marketing ploy and these people have been eliminated from contention already.

I hate to sound rude in saying this but I’ve watched a handful of these and haven’t seen people that feel like tv material.

Great opportunity to grab some eyes on the product by putting aside a collection of the cuts online and getting them to tag/show their friends, but I reckon it’s nothing more than that.

Don't get me wrong though. Letting Youtube viewers have any say in who goes in is a terrible idea.
as a regular you tube viewer I will try not to take offence to that hahaha! On the positive side I do like that Ten are willing to try lots of different engagement strategies and see what a modern audience wants to go along with the back to where we began theme. Not all of these ideas are going to work or be good ones but I am enjoying watching what they are trying.

The problem is it will attract attention whore influencers who will get their minions to vote for them.

If they go with the original channel 10 rules strategy talk will not be allowed anyway. I'd actually love to see some of these strategy bots when they realise they can't use any of the strategies they had planned on due to the inability to talk to the other contestants.

Is it just me, or do most of these videos fail to show who these people actually are? I don't care if it’s your lifelong dream, who you’re doing it for, or that you live near the Gold Coast. Claiming you’ll “stir things up” just sounds like standard reality-show lip service these days. You can convey all that through your words and actions while remaining likeable. It's like they are saying what they think producers want to hear, not sharing anything authentic or genuinely interesting that draws people in. If this is the best of 10k+ applications so far, I’m a little worried.

Yep they have to be the rejects. No one really seems too interesting but I imagine a lot of past contestants wouldn’t come across as particularly exciting in a vide. There are some it’s hard to imagine ever standing out let alone getting cast so idk.
