Sadly suspect they'll over fill it. 12 would be perfect with an extra midweek eviction thrown in. I wouldn't even think about intruders.

I think what modern BB producers forget, and indeed the original producers of later series, is that fewer HMs in the final week isn't "boring" but just the show winding down and if they cast correctly we should be happy to spend the final week with just 3-5 housemates, and for the HMs making that stage is actually an achievement. Getting evicted with a week to go but basically being in 10th place is not.

For a 4/5 week season if there were 10 housemates, it could look like this:

Wk 1: Eviction 1 - 1 Housemate
Wk 2: Eviction 2 - 2 Housemates
Wk 3: Eviction 3 - 1 Housemate
Wk 4: Eviction 4 - 1 Housemate
Wk 5: Eviction 5 - 2 Housemates
Wk 5: Finale - Final 3?

I doubt there would be intruders, but maybe there could be 2 (which would then mean 12 housemates total) and then they'd possibly do a couple of mid week evictions to get to a final 3.

Found out by a friend who is applying that applications have been extended to the 15th. I wonder why they'd do that! There's almost 20k applicants this time around, haha. Also, my god I really hope they're joking about the 5 week run because I won't accept anything besides 90 days! 😵
