BBAU 2025: Casting open, return to Dreamworld Confirmed

Think it was confirmed weeks ago really but we were just hoping it wasn't the case.
You'd assume they'd get a bit of prep before going live. If they don't that is a Monday launch but suspect the following weekend is more likely (Sun 9th Nov) with the finale on Monday 8th December
We all know that is far too short - even if they did a half week cycle it isn't great as 4 out of 6 nights would be nominations or evictions. I'd hope they go for no more than 12 HMs.

Perhaps they're in the process of digging old stuff up, as for them to get access to the BB05 stems gives me hope that they're at least trying to source the originals.I just wish this zip had included a clean version of the 2004 theme.
Yeah that date range had come up in an early job ad. But Amelia Fisk's promise of "a summer of incredible human drama and unforgettable moments" gave me hope they had bigger plans. Some serious bullshit in that comment.
I assume they stretched out Masterchef because they couldn't launch BB due to the holdback.

Not to mention Endemol Shine. They had the contract with 7 and shouldn’t have locked in for a 2025 season with 10 if they still had obligations under that contract.
Endermol have just thought cha-ching - without worrying how 10 will actually be able to achieve it.
And there is a risk by rushing it out Channel 7 ruin this season too.

Maybe the potential shorter season is to help them brush off as much of Seven's stink on the brand as they can before launching into it properly next year? They might be expecting the first season of the new era to perform quite average due to the damage Seven did, but expect that word will get round eventually that "Big Brother is actually back this time" and the second season will be the triumphant return.
I think a shorter season at the same point of the year as the last Seven one though potentally risks bringing the stink over to 10.
It's also a brand that can't afford a low rating "test" season. If it's branded a flop it's difficult to justify bringing back, especially for a longer run.

Absolutely agree with this. They need to go hard on it with a full season. Their social media game has been fantastic so far and it seems crazy to waste it all on a throwaway season that will annoy everyone when it's over in such a short time. I honesty don't know what they're thinking.

If 10 can't delay it they should find a way to pivot to something more appropriate for the short duration - i.e. not a regular season. Celebrities, old housemates, something! But here I am sounding like a broken record on repea-repea-repea-repeat.
I think it's a bit hard to push the "Original Big Brother" line if they do something gimmicky. But I still wonder though if the vague date reference for applications and the "summer" reference mean they have a full season pencilled in for the early new year. If they do have a 4-week BB sampler while pushing the narrative about a full season coming soon, maybe they'll pull it off.
