BBAU 2025 house location - Speculation & discussion

That for me would be the only logoical location if it was to return to Dreamworld. Having it any closer to the top of where it once w3as is a security issue. That top area isnt anywhere near as secure these days as it once was. Its also nowhere near as isolated.
Another side note, I don't imagine they would have a full carpack these days.... could also be an option to do a build in the carpark for the house/the eviction stage?

Dreamworld makes up 0.00000111% of Australia. There are other options.
Maybe so, but the rest of Australia was never "the HOME of BIG BROTHER". And Queensland is good for the climate if they decide to return to April/May launches in the (future) future. Dreamworld was a great match for BBAU and you can't blame people for being nostalgic about it.

Technically the eviction stage can go back in the old location… that area is still there.

I think starting a brand new house build on Dreamworld land would only make sense if they still had the auditorium there but it is gone. They aren’t rebuilding that as well.

I’d love it to return to Dreamworld for nostalgic reasons but I think they could find many other places to do it well.

I will say the Channel 7 houses did not have the same “feel” to them. It needs to be somewhere isolated.

I don't know why I find this so fascinating but I stumbled upon some high res aerial photographs of the old BB house location in 2019 and 2023 respectively. It's sad that the only remaining evidence that the house ever stood there was the outline of the pools and the warehouse. And now, it's all gone (underwater). Those two red shipping containers at the very bottom have been standing there for what seems like decades now. They've definitely seen some shit ;)

If Neighbours isn't extended beyond it's two year deal (Amzon have today confirmed the closure of Freevee) could the Nunawading Studios and backlot be an option?

It feels very.. suburban?? It’s also kinda far from any attractions or hubs, Glen Waverley is one of the most boring areas you can think of in Melbourne.

Only problem is Fremantle.. and they have offices there on site. also its heritage listed as well

That could be mighty convenient for evictee interviews if Rove Live was still around and produced out of Nunawading 😉.

It's too centrally located in the theme park, but that'd be fine for an eviction stage. Have them on a golf cart drive through the park from wherever the house is.
wouldn't a BB house in the centre of the theme park generate more interest though?
