Masterchef 2023 - Series discussion

Theo's sauce a bit too much...Chef's tempura not up to scratch...I think the Chef will win.

I got distracted by a few texts from my sister.
Just saw Josh come second to the China man.

A bit of an ordinary episode.
The China chef man kept it interesting though.
Oh well, looks like bed time again.
And Friday again!
Friday's come around really fast these days!

I have no idea what they even are...sound awful!
I had to explain them to my dad who had never heard of them, and shuddered at the idea.
I used to buy them from the deli (corner shop) as a kid but haven't had them since, apart from when I had some of a Cadbury Marvellous Creations family block of chocolate a few years ago. Great if youi want chocolate that explodes in your mouth, but not much use really.

I wouldn't deep fry a bug...but he's a chef so I guess he knows what he's doing.
I had prawn hargows tonight. Just Aldi ones.
I'd like to steam them but the steamer is packed away somewhere. So I boiled them, then 5 minutes in the air fryer to dry them out a bit.
They were ok, "nothing special" but edible enough.

Are they not suitable to micro? I've never tried them so I don't know.

Or get a small saucepan with lid and a pea strainer...then steam them?
