Masterchef 2023 - Series discussion

I could live on spuds. Mashed, roast, jacket, potato salad ... thought I'd share that with you while the ads are on 🤗

You'd get on well with my eldest son...I always have to cook three times more potatoes for him than anyone else! Hubby and I rarely eat them though.

Blue team...I wouldn't call that a seafood stew...BUT that's just me. I would like to try it though.

Judges like it!

Dessert...Red team...judges approve! Blue team...flames...waiting...waiting...waiting...

Why can't they just cook a decent portion of actual food?

The meat floating in oil reminds me of the way my ex- in law's do a xmas roast.

Because a decent portion of actual food is not finessed enough for them at times...and the addition of oil 'elevates' the dish! Haha! BUT sometimes it doesn't according to them...SO it's really anyone's guess on the day as to what they actually want?

maybe it's just me but the team challenges this year are lacking the drama of previous seasons, those Wednesday night episodes to me are kinda boring - what was the biggest drama last night - Declan stuffing up the potatoes?
Theo did a good job as captain of his team, I wouldn't mind seeing him get the chance to cook off for immunity tonight, otherwise it's probably Declan again, which wouldn't upset me either, because I really like Declan - super nice bloke on his instagram page too.

Fingers crossed I can be here tonight. We have a strata meeting - boring as all hell, and doesn't start until 6pm, cutting into "happy hour!"

Yay, I'm back. It was all wrapped up in half an hour! But, Masterchef viewing will be happening upstairs in stead of downstairs, and probably only for the first half hour now dinner is later!

I'll be interested see what they do with coffee since I bought a jar of plunger coffee by mistake and I don't have a plunger any more 🤪

Looks like they're all deserts though. I don't do deserts.
I did look up recipes and there are Mexican ones with coffee. Not to convinced about the ones I've found so far 🤢

Do you want me to give you one of mine? I think I have four...two regular sized and two individual...also have two coffee machines one a pod thingy and the other a "proper" coffee machine...stupid thing is I rarely drink coffee! Haha!

How long has it got left to go now - thought it was supposed to be shorter this season, although of course it began a week late.
