With our best gold haul in a day, Australia sitting at #1 on the medal tally with 59 Gold, 46 Silver and 50 Bronze.
 
That poor guy who just edged ahead 5 metres from the finish line thought he had won until Hoare came past him and the 2nd place guy stumbled, I think he was in shock that Hoare beat him... He almost tried to lurch over the line and I think this made him trip and nearly fall ...

Totally agree.
 
Despite a VERY salty English crowd, our girls won GOLD!
Also our 1,000th Commonwealth Games gold medal!

(I felt the booing from the crowd was a bit much! Obviously still upset we took out the English).

Kookaburra's hav won their SEVENTH consecutive Comm Games Gold Medal.
They are our second most successful sporting team ever, just behind the women's cricket team!

Australia won the games with 67 Gold, 57 Silver and 54 Bronze, totalling 178 medals!

A very successful games! 4 years till they're back home in Victoria!

Huge medal tally for a country of 5 million odd. Well done! 😍
