Episode BBAU 2022 - Episode 19 Discussion (15 June, 7:30pm)

Something was bugging me, so I re-watched part of that episode back.

In the waiting room, BB told Tim and Brenton that if they pressed Fast Forward they'd go to the diary room and vote. OK, sure. He then said, and I quote ... "but you will be making your decision without knowing which housemates are facing eviction".

Ummm. When they were in the diary room, BB proceeded to tell them who was up for eviction. WTF!?

Sorry, but that pisses me off. Did I misunderstand something here? Did I mis-hear? It would have been better had they not been told. I thought that was the entire point of this "twist". To tell them, allowed Tim to weave his magic. I really thought BB was going to say "There were three up, one of them won the challenge and now you have to vote for either housemate 1 or housemate 2 ... who do you choose?".

I think BB meant he won't tell them who is nominated before they decide to fast forward or rewind.

I think bb meant you wont know whos nominated until you decide if you press rewind or fast forward. Thats how i took it anyway🤷

Yes! That’s why I asked if they could evict anyone! Wtf?

Ahhhhh.

OK, yes, now it does make sense. Wow, it was a bit ambiguous if you ask me. It's the whole reason why my earlier post said that Fast Forward was the wrong move as it would be a random luck of the draw choice they had to make and they could end up looking bad. Knowing what I know now, yes, Fast Forward was the right choice.

OK, thanks for clearing that up for me.

I am still pissed off, cos thinking they way I did and then seeing what happened on screen absolutely ruined the "tension" and the "punch" of the twist for me.
 
Alright, so all that scrambling back and forth talk between the HMs was really a waste of the viewers time ... Tim and Brenton pushed FF and all that scrambling talk was for naught. Can we please get that time back BB? (Wow, how ironic that question is.) You could have shown HM chats so we can get to know the HMs better, instead of wasting our time with that scrambling crap which turned out to be for nothing.

Haha really, they should have got Brentim to press FF before they did that.

yea, it’s crazy considering back in the day bb in australia used to have 0% strategy, and in comparison the american version of bb was more like survivor.

these days the australian version has gone the full extreme to the point of being a clone of survivor, even more-so than the u.s version probably.

I agree! Can we get that time back from bb again! Production have wasted our time quite a few times and all for nought. Not interesting or exciting, just makes me detest how the production treat us, the viewers. Total waste of time, numerous times!🙄

Yes, true. But, for some reason, I am still drawn to it. And, based on these forums, others appear to be too, or we wouldn't be posting. Every now and then it shines (for example, tonight's "Rewind / Fast Forward" twist was actually pretty good [even if I did misunderstand it a bit in my head] ).
