There was also drama in season 2 between one couple when she found out during a game/challenge that the guy kept tabs of his count. Seems like it might be a recycled production thing this year but didn't see much backlash this time.

Look. Its a producers wet dream the subject and discussion of numbers.
But its also true, these fame wannabees who audition are probably in the low 1% percentile of infants in life who do flaunt.it.
 
There's many small things people can change to improve their appearance. Exercise, a reasonable diet, a good skin routine and a decent style is achievable. It probably won't turn someone into a model but it's not hard to go from average to above average. Many people are lazy and don't put the effort in.
