if neighbours focused on the lives of sonya and toadie and forgot about the rest id have that show in my top 50.

Have you seen SOAP? Something of a cult comedy, and extremely unusual for a USA show
Follows the lives of 2 sisters, one being rich the other just middle class ordinary
A very funny show from the 70s, a very young Billy Crystal in one family......it is bizarre and amazing
One character thinks he can become invisible when he snaps his fingers; another thinks his ventriloquist dummy is a real person; and cleverest Mr fixit is the butler, Benson is a classic - he got his own spinoff show, for his wit and one liners and charisma.

One of my all time favourites. What a brilliant cast. It deserves to be better remembered.

You can watch a lot of it on youtube......it is possibly the best ever old comedy made in USA.....before Seinfeld

I think you would love it.......for it is unpredictable and uses fantasy, the characters are so out there & weird
It is more like something Brits would make, completely unlike USA formulae crap

@oddjob, remember the episode, my favourite, when they hid the ventriloquist dummy (in the fridge I think)
So, that character nearly flips when he can't insult people/talk through a dummy
He resorts to using an orange, he makes a mouth, uses it as a hand puppet, voila.....instant dummy
Sarcastic Benson the butler was the best........OMG yes, they used sarcasm and irony, so rare for USA

I like shows with a cozy mystery, animals acting like humans, and men and women arguing with flirty undertones.

Baba, i love baba that royal elephant family.....and pingu, i like oddball animation or putty people like Wallace & Gromit....oh and the old classic Gumby

As a child i detested cartoons, found them annoying, stupid and violent and just noise, mostly
Unless they were weird, the odd oddball one might appeal....like those above

Did you like cartoons?
