Episode I'm A Celebrity! AU (2018) - Episode Discussion

...I'm not adsyj and I'll tell you my reasons tonight as it's aired so as not to create a spoiler now for people... and... I think that it's probably what motivated the decision to be honest... cheers.

I sent Choc a text earlier today, just saying hope you are ok and we were enjoying watching you on the show you on the show.
I'm sure he has got hundreds of texts today, hopefully he will text back , its early morning over there, so maybe hear something later this arvo.

Its just unexpected. Anyway i guess we will all know more later.

@adsyj

Not unexpected from me.

Choc was probably bored shitless in there, having to listen to celebrities whos careers are over & who are trying to resurrect them.

Here are some of the celebrities at their homes.

At this rate, the show will be called. Are you a celebrity. Get your arse here.

Alex will have to start confiscating passports.

...bwahahahaha!... that is sooooooo funny!... but could also end up being so true!... lol!... cheers.

i just had a text exchange with him, a little weird but thats him, i told him about this forum and everyone wants to know is he ok, he says he might pop in for a chat with his fans next week, Ha. Basically he said"its all good bruv, just wanna come home." then he asked if my wife was there (she is a qantas hostie) and would she be working on his flight home, and then he said catch up next week?

My business partner who also knows him reckons the missing the family thing is probably on the up up, he is a mummas boy and barely goes down the road without someone in his family or his enormous group of hanger ons. So maybe distance and not having his people around 24/7 got to him.

i really dont know, hope i can talk him into coming on here and saying g'day, it should be easy if he comes by the office.

I don't know if reading the comments on here would be much good for his state of mind, it hasn't done much good for most of our previous reality show visitors. But then I don't know him like you do, maybe he can take a bit of give and take.

I didn't enjoy his stint on the show, but I wish him well in his real life endeavors, and your loyalty to him is commendable.

I was pretty much like everybody else when it came to Mundine, I hated him like full on everything he said and did. Then my boss assigned a job to me with Anthony. I was like no way give it to someone else i dont want to work with him, I was angry. Honestly within about 5 minutes of meeting with him and talking to him I was charmed and I love the bloke. He is just a great human being.

All that being said i get why people dont like him and i'm not trying to sell him to anybody. He is very strange in his boxing persona outside of that in real life he was one of the nicest human beings i've ever met.

I really wished he would of stayed on in the camp, for himself at least you know. I hope he is ok.

Bummer for the show and on the face of it without knowing any details pretty poor form by Anthony. We will just have to see whats up. As i said earlier this has really took me by surprise. He just is not a quitter, he once fought a title fight with a broken hand. Its a real shame for everyone involved..

Yes, the quitting thing surprised me, and it seems Dr Chris was shocked too.
From what we've seen of Anthony Mundine, it appears that winning is extremely important to him, and the last thing he'd want to be seen as is a quitter.

...I agree with you on a couple of points here Meglos... first... he may not like what he reads about himself on here... he may not need that at the moment most likely... and... I also agree with what you said about adsyj's loyalty to him... it is commendable indeed... cheers.

Yep it's turning into what Big Brother became before it was cancelled by Channel Nine. All of this fake contrived stuff will also lead to the cancellation of this show. Not a coincidence that Alex ran both of these shows.

:cry::cry::cry:
Nooooooooooooo!!!!!!!
I can't believe this show is turning in to that! I LOVE this show and to see it going down this path is really hard to watch! :(:(:(

Surely they can have someone else take over as executive producer next year if this contrived direction and ratings drop continues? This show would rate very well if the contrived stuff wasn't there. (And perhaps Alex?)

If Choc does come here, hope he lasts longer then Priya.

She came on here to meet her fans & realised quick she didn't have many.

Hope Choc is fine.

@adsyj Thank you for the insight into Mundine. It has been very interesting. :)

I agree with @Meglos that it may not be good for him to read some of our comments here. He seems like a tough guy but I wouldn't want to hurt his feelings. And we all say things in the heat of the moment that we may not mean.

I have never met Mundine, but I did post that he is different in real life.

But some didn't give him a chance.

I just wish we had live feeds so people could have seen the real Mundine & not the one the show wanted you to believe was him.

The loudmouth Mundine is the one that wants you to hate him & that may get you to buy tickets to his fight. (that is the Mundine people see)

...as I said earlier on this thread adsyj... I had kept an open mind about Mundine when he first came into camp regardless of how I disliked him prior to coming in... after hearing your descriptions of Mundine of how nice a person he is in real life I was waiting to see that side of him in there... perhaps if he stayed maybe he we possibly would have... by not staying he has done himself a dis-service (but probably a massive favour to everyone else in Australia from what some of us have said in the last few days) because the last impressions that I myself have of him is of an angry squabbling little man that was more focused in trying to have the last word with Danny Green than being his more natural self... so seeing him in that light instead of what he was trying to portray all went out of the window from what I saw...

...he will always be that person to me no matter what we read about him later in life... so... if Mundine wanted us to see his other side... he failed as far as I'm concerned at least... and to be honest... I am totally stoked that he has walked... now we won't have to bear that crud about his and Green's 'rivalry' anymore after tonight's episode hopefully... in the the words of Tim Dormer... "DID YOU HEAR THAT ALEX?"... cheers.

... that is EXACTLY what needs to happen Kaz but sadly will probably never be... it makes it way too hard for Producers to create 'believable' story lines when people have been watching the 'Live' feeds during the day... they were being called out by the viewers for trying to make something out of completely nothing... (Mundine and Green's 'rivalry' and Simone and Josh's 'romance' for instance)...

...I sure wish that 'Live feeds' would return to shows like this as they did in Big Brother's heydays but sadly it will most likely never happen methinks!... cheers.

They have live feeds online and on TV in the US for their Big Brother. Dont see why they couldnt do something similar here.

...from the few episodes that I saw of the USA it seemed to me like the Producers just let the housemates just 'do their thing' and didn't try to create 'story lines' sav0001... so having 'Live feeds' didn't really matter to them I guess?... hence the reason for them to still have them maybe?...

...I'm just not sure as to why Australia had to start creating 'story lines' in more or less every Australian 'Reality Show' that is going to be honest... where and when did we go wrong?... cheers.
