I studiously kept my concentration on my dinner and even changed channel for a couple of minutes.

Are they trying to dispel the rumours that Tiffany left already?
I'm not on social media - what's this one, sorry?
People were wondering if she was still there, because there's barely been any footage of her the past few days.I'm not on social media - what's this one, sorry?

Green is dim too, boxers should not speak
Australia Day - is a joke, as kids nobody noticed it, there was NO HOLIDAY, no fireworks, nothing
Give Indigenous a treaty and lets celebrate being decent humans.
26 is a day, that maybe means something for Sydney, nothing elsewhere
Why celebrate how they tortured mostly political prisoners
And I think more of us have different ancestors anyway

Yeah, my take on it is the day isn't the correct one for the indigenous people to lament over, it was chosen instead of Jan 1 (the date of federation) to move it away a bit from New Years. I'd be okay with the indigenous people selecting the date they chose to represent their loss, but leave Australia Day where it is, for all of us to celebrate being Australian NOW.Here we go...the Australia Day debate???
*steps off soapbox

Move it to August as the second half of the year is lacking public holidays. Yes, I agree, for those who are Australian NOW.Yeah, my take on it is the day isn't the correct one for the indigenous people to lament over, it was chosen instead of Jan 1 (the date of federation) to move it away a bit from New Years.
