Episode I'm A Celebrity! AU (2018) - Episode Discussion

Maybe it's your own tooth you airhead.

Edit: And a coincidence that someone else also has a sore tooth. Not bad odds that someone would either, given there's ten people in there and they're not eating their normal diets, getting tough meats in the tucker trials etc. Not a bad guess that someone else might get a sore tooth too.

...from what a few people within here have said it sounds like Jackie is a really nice lady but when she starts with all of that mumbo jumbo stuff I cannot help myself but arc up at her... she's coming across as a bit of a flake to me whenever she does and that's more the pity when I've gone in with an open mind about her but she really is pushing the limits with me now... I so want to like her but... I wish she would just shut up with that shit... she's just... she's just... cheers.

Shannon's rant about Simon Cowell stealing "his" song didn't come across well. You had a hit with a cover, but you don't have a claim on it.

...Shannon is really giving me the irrits too... so Simon Cowell stopped him from 'conquering the world' eh?... suck it up Buttercup!... as I said on the other thread earlier today... "that's showwbiz!"... stop your bitching about it and get on with your life sunshine!... seriously mate... none of us give a fig about it because it is really old news so move on!... cheers.

I knew you were going to post this.

ZOMG: I am psycho psychic.

Finished here. Bit of a slow show tonight, probably because the trial was a slower, less adrenalin-filled one than you would expect for a Sunday show. Hopefully we don't get too much focus on Mundine and Green at the expense of the others getting airtime. I've been forgetting Simone's even in there until I hear her voice every so often, and Tiffany isn't getting much airtime either. And Jackie's psychic spiel is bugging me. She's taking advantage of vulnerability, and doesn't seem to understand that what's she's doing is potentially hurtful if it's unsolicited. I like hearing Kerry's stories, haven't made up my mind on her yet.

What I found funny about this episode, is everyone knew it was Danny Green even with the hood on.

I am betting that Alex expected more than 2 celebs to pick Green to win the tucker trial.

Massive fail.

Mundine seems to be liked in there.

Mundine seemed to put pay to the rivalry by saying, it's only for boxing etc.

Kerry is probably a lovely lady, but a woeful actress, and it's a bit embarrassing that she really does seem to think she could have done a better job in any of the roles she missed out on.

It depends on the role, she can be a wonderful actor.

And yes I believe her that Kidman was pissed off & left when she missed out on the best actress award.

...agreed... and to be honest... there are only a few that I'm actually enjoying seeing this season so far...

my favourites:... Fiona/Pete and Kerry...

not too fond of:... Josh/Jackie and Shannon...

are they even still in there?:... Simone and Tiffany...

least favourites:... Mundine and Green...

anymore 'celebrities' to come?:... weren't we supposed to get 'a couple' and a 'successful Author' too?...

...I always thought that there were at least 14 celebrities a year?... there are only 10 now because Tomic left early... so when are more coming (if any)... just saying... cheers.

I believe the Kidman (and Crowe) story too. They are "Hollywood", Kerry isn't.

I've only really seen Kerry in Prisoner and The Wrong Girl so my judgment is based on those. I love Prisoner, but a lot of the acting was a bit iffy.

I haven't really seen her in anything much I don't think. An episode here or there of Seachange at someone else's house but not really watching it myself, and I just checked her IMDB, there was an episode of Blue Heelers that I would have seen but can't remember. Maybe the Police Rescue episodes?

Shannon's rant about Simon Cowell stealing "his" song didn't come across well. You had a hit with a cover, but you don't have a claim on it.

Gosh, I came away with the opposite impression. I thought that was truly tragic. He recorded the original song, not a cover; and then was on the verge of having a bit hit over in the UK when Nasty Simon plucked it out from under him and offered the songwriter big bucks to let his X factor fellow do a cover of what was until then Nollsy's track. That feeling of having the legs cut out from under you...

I never liked Shannon on Idol, but I felt for him then, having his big future plucked away - and things have been tough ever since, I gather, as for all musicians in Australia, really; but he looks like he's been through the ringer since those Idol years.

I love these industry stories. I wish we had more of that than pseudo-feuds between boxers who don't seem to mind one another at all.

It was a cover though, of a huge hit from two decades earlier (sorry if you knew this)

I agree that Shannon re-popularised the song, and that Simon Cowell is nasty, but at the end of the day it was a business decision - to release an unknown artist in the UK, or try to cash in with a popular act from the X Factor. Though burying it as an album track seems kind of pointless.

I also agree that discussions like this are much more interesting than anything Mundine or Green bring.

Very boring show last night

Disagree, and I think she's really attractive.
Attractive, well yes she is a pleasant looking middle aged woman......but her eyelash extensions are dire, and she is boring
If Jackie wasn't there.....has she had any other input besides Jackie leading her around?

Haven't noticed her eyelash extensions, I don't think I ever notice people's eyelashes.
I don't mind boring if it's nice boring. I don't find Tiffany boring in the same way Dean Geyer or that male model were. Or Simone, who is very boring indeed.
