agreed. silly suck up bernardi. i hope him and his disgusting and disgraceful party never win another seat ever again. they bring shame upon Australia.
 
26 makes no sense

Nobody beyond Sydney has any connection to Sydney landing day, and the date is wrong should be 18th

White Australians with convict heritage should be as horrified as Indigenous at this date, most were political prisoners poms chose to exile and torture. Horrible history all around, evil UK day, invasion.

And for my people....Chinese 26 means nothing.

Not especially interested in celebrating we are a nation, until we are independent republic, set the date for a future republic, make it 2 days........freedom festival can start long before the reality......2days = let go of 26 friday services/rituals etc, party saturday/sunday, monday barbies and fireworks :)
Find an aussie that would refuse 2 days for 1???
