I agree with this. I've always suspected the "bottom 3" is really the bottom two plus a random, like the week Guy Sebastian was bottom three on Idol.

I think they only have to be honest with one: the evictee) because it "might" be any of the others. I don't think they've ever said the three named were the bottom three, people just assume it.
