Yellow dress with hairy armpit. I don't like armpit hair on females. I just don't. Don't these events bring out the more interesting sights about town.

LOL I thought it was just a shadow - but maybe not! I was more focused on the guy at the bottom right that I thought she had kicked a can of drink on his suit bottom!!!

I thought it may have been discolouration of some sort, but it looks more like hair. I could be very wrong of course.

I admit I really don't understand what the motivation is for these people to go to the races. I reckon 99% of the people getting pissed in the carparks don't actually watch a race the whole day, maybe place a bet or two, but give no thought to the welfare or the wastage of horses in the racing industry. Is it just like going to a nightclub, but during the day, in uncomfortable shoes and with unpredictable weather?! I don't understand!

Well the racing thing in Melbourne is like Christmas/New Year, parties, parties, parties - and daytime drinking.

The youngins, tend to do Caulfield Cup most, mostly school kids - thus they introduced age checks and advance bookings required now.
They just want to dress up and let off steam pre-exams, and everyone in Melbourne thinks they have to do the races at least once.
.

I have never made it to the races, but went to lots of race parties. Cup Eve parties, stopped me getting to the race, up all night.

THE DIVINE MICHELLE

Speaking to Vogue.com about dressing the global star, Donatella said:
'I am humbled and honored to have the opportunity to dress the First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama.
Thank you, Michelle, for all of the things you have done for America and for the rest of the world, for the women in the United States and the rest of the world.'

Interesting colour for her frock. Rose gold. Suits her skin colour. Love the straight hair. What's going on with the mouth though?

Ah, so that's how pleats are made. As for Coco Chanel. What a contribution to women's fashion she made. Trousers. Black dresses (not for mourning). Those distinctly pocketed suits. Beads. Camellias...

And, Dior Pleats...There was an exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum, NY showcasing historical designs from 1947 - 1957. Distinctive, feminine and beautiful. Here are a few of the designs from the book below, which for anyone who is interested, is now (annoyingly) downloadable free from the Met HERE.

DIOR, history movie

Published on Apr 19, 2016
It’s 1947. France is in the midst of reconstruction after the war. Although fabrics are being rationed, a young designer wins the world over to his daring vision of feminine elegance. He once again establishes Paris as the capitol of fashion. His name, Christian Dior, is destined to reach the realm of myth.

This man, however, who so completely changed and glamorized haute couture from 1947 to 1957, contradicts the extroverted, flamboyant image the public has of fashion designers. Christian Dior, never comfortable with his celebrity, was a reserved, conservative man who hadn’t even considered working in the fashion industry. The events that led up to his role as “director of dreams for high society” astonished him more than anyone. He was a down-to-earth, humble man who treated the 900 employees of his large company as family. They were the ones he worked with to make the creations he so enjoyed drawing a reality.

What are the roots of Dior’s impeccable taste? What inspired his dynamic creativity and amazing success? His childhood in Normandy, the everlasting image of his mother’s elegance, as well as his love of flowers, art, and architecture, help unravel the mystery of the man behind the myth.

LADY GAGA PAID OUT £85k FOR HER DRESS

She started collecting couture while married and has held two massive wardrobe sales, raising more than £750,000 for charity.

At the most recent sale, singer Lady Gaga paid a world record £85,250 for a gown by the late Alexander McQueen.

She is very rich and very odd, and confused with cartoons...

.....striped hair, stacks of silver jewellery and diamonds, corsets and monochrome capes and veils. There is a striking resemblance to Cruella de Vil, which she finds amusing, recounting that a taxi driver once told her: ‘You’re not as scary looking in real life as in that film about dalmatians.’

A tiny size zero, she admits she doesn’t like to eat and often gets through the day by surviving on energy drink Red Bull.
