US 2016 Presidential Election

10 Times Women Wanted To Throw Things At The TV During The Debate
Mansplaining, manterrupting, and #MasculinitySoFragile. Oh, what a night!

A woman stood on a presidential debate stage as an active participant for the first time in history Monday night. Another crack was made in the highest glass ceiling with grace, poise, zingers and intellect.
And yet, for many women, the 90-minute debate was also incredibly frustrating to watch.
Between Trump’s condescending tone, his endorsement of policies that would negatively affect women, and his barely-veiled racism, here are 10 times it was difficult for women on Twitter not to lose their damn minds:

1. When Trump paused and condescendingly said to Clinton, “I want you to be very happy.”

Because in Trump’s world, a woman should always be content and smiling ― as he talks right over her.

2. All the times Trump interrupted (manterrupted?) Clinton while she was saying real things about real policies.
So many women watching are cringing, thinking back to the times men have interrupted, screamed over, & belittled them.

3. When he mansplained everything from stop and frisk to international policy.

(Women) presidential candidates: they’re just like us!
Trump is giving us a performance art piece on all 80s businessman clichés: Interrupt, yell, mansplain & make faces while the lady talks.
finally the whole country will watch as a woman stands politely listening to a loud man's bad ideas about the field she spent her life in

4. When Trump couldn’t acknowledge the real danger police brutality poses to the black community, implied the real problem is “black-on-black crime,” and praised “stop and frisk” ― a policing tactic which was ruled unconstitutional in New York because it disproportionately targeted people of color.

5. When he bragged about his NRA rating.

Research shows that living in a home with a gun greatly increases the chance a woman will be a victim of a homicide. But yay guns?
"The NRA... Are very very good people" - #DonaldTrump

6. When he wouldn’t stop bragging about his money. And his hotels. And his money.

7. When he was basically a toddler who couldn’t use his words.

Could you imagine if a woman just yelled “WRONG” over and over again without backing that assertion up with facts?

8. When the most thin-skinned man in American politics said he had a winning temperament.

Only an extremely privileged white man could be this delusional.

9. When Trump said Clinton “doesn’t have the look, she doesn’t have the stamina.”

Let’s be clear, a president has never looked like a woman.

10. When Trump said that Clinton isn’t “nice,” because of course, every woman should be first and foremost soft and kind.

Reminder: This is a presidential race ― one in which both candidates have released ads that attack the other candidate. This is not new.

And "now the end is near.....he did it his way....LOL....big fat head, full of hot - fat air.

Stinky Trump has been proven to be a misogynist, sexist, sexual predator, and worse - a law breaking sexual assaulter.
Will he be prosecuted? Will those women now take him for millions? Those women tried to speak before, nobody was listening.

So the next debate becomes UNMISSABLE EVENT TV...can't wait, woman hating pig v woman, in a scary place - ie a hall full of men & WOMEN, asking questions...it is going to explode.

And, Robert De Niro speaks for the sane...

Robert De Niro: 'I'd like to punch Donald Trump in the face'

Robert De Niro has delivered a scathing attack on Donald Trump in a new video, saying he would "like to punch him in the face".

"He's so blatantly stupid. He's a punk, he's a dog, he's a pig, he's a con, a bullshit artist," the Hollywood legend says.
"A mutt who doesn't know what he's talking about, doesn't do his homework, doesn't care, thinks he's gaming society, doesn't pay his taxes," the 73-year-old continues.
The tirade happened as De Niro sat in front of a camera and was asked a very simple question: "What do you care about?"

He had been invited along with a number of other A-list actors to speak in a non-partisan video for an initiative encouraging people to vote in the 2016 US general election.

Known for his fearsome roles in The Godfather where he certainly doesn't mince words, De Niro didn't hold back on the video either, delivering an impassioned appeal to Americans.

Trump Is Not The Only Grabber Who Must Go
"Trump is only the natural result of a Republican culture that has viciously fought the women’s agenda for years."
Michael Moore

The rats are quickly jumping from the sinking ship of Trump. But not so fast, dear Republican senators and congressmen. Trump may have verbalized his misogyny, sexism and abuse of women into an open microphone, but over the past decades you ― YOU ― have LEGALIZED it. He may talk of “grabbing” sexual organs, but YOU have created laws that legally grab control over women’s bodies. Trump may brag about his power over women; YOU, the Republican legislators (and your backers, the Christian Right and rich businessmen), have made sure women aren’t paid the same as men, don’t have paid maternity leave, or can’t get easy access to birth control.....

It is an assault to pay women less. It is an assault to block day care for all. It is an assault ― a form of apartheid ― when only 20 percent of Congress is women, the majority gender.....

As far as I’m concerned, there are 54 Trumps in the U.S. Senate and 237 Trumps in the House. You can’t make this look good by removing your endorsement from Trump. Yes, Trump has to go ― but so do you, all of you. Starting with the election on November 8, we need to show up at the polls and remove as many of you as possible. This abuse of women stops now. I believe that most women and many men are going to determine their vote with this one thought, thanks to you and Trump:

“YOU’RE EITHER WITH WOMEN, OR YOU’RE AGAINST THEM.”

And if you’re against women, you’re over. There’s a fourth wave of feminism afoot now ― and you are going to be its first casualties.

Quote from another forum, they are watching live like me.

To quote The Thick of It, "this is like watching a lion rape a sheep, but in a good way."

How many countries around the world are facing similar shitty choices?
It has been decades since we had a proper LEADER, thus we keep swapping em, and parties dumping them, and now we rival Italy as a country that swaps governments like socks.

We have a shitty generation power mongering. We have no leaders, anywhere.

So well put, from digitalspy forums, they were interested and up at 3am, is nobody here interested???

Trump has a way of saying absolutely nothing, in such a way that stupid people think he said whatever they would have liked him to say. He trails off and goes on tangents and implies further meaning, but he's leaving the listener to fill in all the blanks that he leaves. Some people listen and realize he didn't actually say anything, while others fill in the blanks themselves and come away with the impression that he said exactly what they were thinking, when he did no such thing.

It's an impressive trick for a con man, but it won't take him very far in actually governing a country.

If you don't think Trump wants to mirror Putin as President, then you didn't hear him threaten to jail his political rival if elected

In the USA we do not threaten to jail political opponents. @realDonaldTrump said he would. He is promising to abuse the power of the office

Be afraid of any candidate who says he will order DOJ/FBI to act on his command This is dangerous/so is @realDonaldTrump-he's not qualified

So @realDonaldTrump will ORDER his AG to take certain actions-When Nixon tried that his AG courageously resigned. Trump is dangerous/unfit

The Republican party, through their pandering and enabling of bigots, are to blame for the position that they find themselves in with Trump. It is too late for them to back out now, for unless the culture of that party changes significantly then they will relive this nightmare in future elections.
