Survivor Season 33

There's been way too much on the showmance so far. And that surprises me because Survivor is normally much better than the US Big Brother in not repeating things a lot. On BB you can hear the same thing repeated three times in a minute as if the audience are only half concentrating and need that. But Survivor normally treats the audience with more respect, and I expected a more balanced opening explaining more relationships.

Hey guys just letting you know that episode 3 of Survivor is up on 9Now. Each week the latest episode of Survivor will be uploaded around 3pm before it is shown on TV.

...is anyone in here at the moment?... that guy cutting the sugar cane in his lap with that Machete is going to slice his todger off it it slips I reckon... cheers.

...does the old guy have chest pains?... has anyone died on Survivor from a heart attack or anything before now?... just curious... cheers.

Not died.
But seriously medi -emergencied out. Usually serious injuries, some turn bad - being in tropics makes for nasty festering.
Awful one where a guy burnt himself.
Seriously just ill I think from dehydration and something else, mostly they would rather die than leave.

...I was surprised when that Asian looking guy said the he wouldn't have minded if he did have a heart attack because he felt that he was a threat to him?... did I get that right?... lol!... cheers.

...I like the water challenges too... I always imagine a shark hanging around in the water behind them lol!... cheers.

asian looking guy is weakling white weirdo who could not swim I think, other sick guy will vote him out, Dave maybe???
cool older x won

...Gen X are the oldies aren't they?... I think that one of the oldies will win this series mainly due to the fact that they learned how to do practical things prior to mobile phones and computers in their day... the younger generation seem pretty clueless from what I've seen up until now... cheers.

Are you good at puzzles @Mr Stickyfingers ???

...I'm actually quite good at them without beating my own drum... I love stuff like cryptic crosswords and and solving puzzles on games that I play on PC and XBox etc... I'm very good at trivial pursuit and my sweet darling wife hates me watching 'whodunnit' movies or shows with her because I usually pick out who the killer is by the half to three quarter mark lol!... cheers.

Nope, just because USA is more sexist, more divided that way. I love that about ours, often they weren't even aware of gender I reckon.

It is the pattern in USA, they pick off the weakest females, any crazies (often), and a lot of the time african americans go first too.
They justify the females as needing muscles to win challenges.
Must say our females are more impressively atheletic, they do have a lot of bimbos with fake tits on USA. Haven't seen enough of this one, but it doesn't look like there are bimbos.

...aw hell!... two are schtumping each other already?... jeez I hate it when people hook up in these shows... cheers.

Episode 3:

So, I think the Gen X are toast now. That 6 person alliance probable could have been good for all of them, but now I can't see a really strong group forming again. Louis CK and the Boston dude will never trust any of the women again. Even though it was great to see them blindsided, I'm not sure the women actually improved their position. They had 3, in an alliance of 6, so I don't see how they saw themselves as being on the bottom, especially with a big blowhard meat shield their in the form of Paul. Dave nd Ken Doll are probably quite tight, and they probably feel more loyalty to CC than any of the flippers, so I can't see how their position is improved. If CC makes the merge she could be one of those non-threats who manage to slip through to the end, like Lydia in Guatamala. Spoilers for Guatemala. She will continue to be a liability until the merge though, so we'll see.

I'm not sure what the Asian lady did to the editors, but they seem to hate her. She was purple for 2 weeks, and her first line was to angrily shush someone. Maybe she quits or something, but I don't think her future is bright.

As a gen xer myself, I have never thought of the work ethic as a big defining characteristic of our generation. I thought it was more a cynicism and reluctance to believe in what is being sold to us as the dominant narrative. I think the work ethic is more an age thing - people in their 30s and 40s tend to job more than people in their 20s. I do like that they went out in suits, though, because now they are starting to look more and more like pirates. Except Ken, who just wears his reginalds.

Work has been crazy this week, and YouTube is cracking down on Australiana Survivor uploads, so I haven't had a chance to watch this week's episodes yet, let alone BB OTT, but this was a good episode for me. I think Dave and Ken may go far, but that it'll be a millennial at the end.

Oh! Hannah - man, what can be worse than someone saying 'I don't want to talk to you right now because I am angry, depressed, and you just betrayed me' and you just keep talking to them... Goose.
