I have a vintage leather motorcycle jacket in storage in Sydney. Wore it every day when riding my scooter in Auckland back in the day, and later in Sydney. Not much call for it here in PP, where it's 30-something every single day. I had the lining replaced last year, shortly after which the pull-tab on the zip broke off (in such a way the zip now needs replacing), but you can still use it. I'll probably end up giving it to Vinnies when I'm in town in March. I love that jacket!
