I guess you can never expect too lengthy a stint after BB but I thought they would last a bit longer than they did. As a viewer their connection seemed quite palpable versus Clawson, but that could be in part due to editing or just the fact that things aren't always as they seem and some things can't be gauged.

They seemed fairly similar at the time but now seem so different, I guess that happens though.
I thought they were very real the first time I watched. Drew asked Tully if she would leave Tahlia for him and after she was evicted said he loved her and seemed a bit lost without her. He was furious at Ed when he told Tully that she was "being played" by Drew. I think that was all genuine.

But when I watched a second time I noticed more Tullys needy and almost crazy behavior toward Drew with her angry at nothing. Maybe that was just the stress she was feeling. I wondered how genuine she was with her feelings toward him as a boyfriend/ partner and if it was mostly her reaction to being in the house. I think she loved what Drew gave her in a relationship but I'm not sure what she gave him. She pretty easily dismissed him as her "house husband" when she was evicted though at the time I thought that was because she had no idea of the furor she had caused and that Tahlia had left her.

I was shocked when drew and Tully broke up though. So I guess it was very real in the artificial state of the house but not enough in the outside world. It sure was fascinating to watch.

Interesting analysis, I haven't rewatched their season to compare but I can totally see that. I did think their connection was very real, but since the situation was not real it's hard to say, which I guess is what you just said!! That said, I found some of their fights uncomfortable and even upsetting to watch at times. I have been in an abusuve relationship that was toxic to the core and those particular scenes really did remind me of it. So I guess with that in mind it shouldn't surprise me that they didn't last long and are probably both better off for it. Tully seems more determined than Drew outwardly to still be friends though, not sure what to make of that.

I wasn't. I felt all along that Tully was going for the angle, don't think he was. And look who's been into the whole freebies thing? Not Drew

Yeah, in retrospect, that's what I was thinking. But I don't think she planned on losing Tahlia or maybe getting so close to Drew. Hard to know.
I agree that the relationship was toxic with her treatment of Drew.

Hey Rose "waves* you're back!

Are you planning on watching Australian Survivor? I hope you check it out, it might actually be a good survivor season.

Hey Rose "waves* you're back!

Hi to you as well!! Have you been following or posting on RHAP at all?

Are you planning on watching Australian Survivor? I hope you check it out, it might actually be a good survivor season.
Yes I am. I already listened to the Survivor Oz podcasts about it. I hope we can follow it here even though it's big brother. I've been following the Survivor Australia threads here. 55 days is insane to me.

When did Drew and Tully break up?
As I recall it was around New Years Eve after they got out of the house in October. Tully was posting about going to a house with friends and no mention of Drew. It was a shock to me. May have even been before that. I think they exchanged Christmas gifts but I don't recall.

I'm sure it was posted in one of the older housemates threads.

So not that long then. I remember that because Drew went so far into that season he was seperated from Tully for quite a few weeks. Maybe those weeks apart kind of diminished his feelings towards her and their relationship fizzled after they continued once the season was over?

I think it may have been that Tully had to be a mess dealing with all the pressure she was under, though she was happy to come back in and say she was single, which had to be hurtful to Tahlia. Drew was really excited to see her when she came back so I don't think it fizzled. Maybe her crowding in and upstaging him at his eviction was the start of it?

Tully just seems like very hard work. Shes been single since they broke up as far as I know. I know she dates but she hasn't had another serious relationship.

I feel like a creepy person for remembering all that. Their relationship made a big impression on me. Maybe because in US big brother so many girls get used by guys as "showmances."
